For the first time, Workers in Kakamega County are set to get job promotion to enhance career progression. In a letter to all Chief Officers, Municipality Managers and Station heads across all the 12 sub counties obtained by this blog, the letter is dated 7th November. As the first bold step towards clearing promotion backlog he inherited from the previous administration, HE Governor Fernandes Barasa appears keen on the welfare of those on his payroll and duty bound. Signed by the CECM Public Service and Administration Dr. Boniface Okoth and copied to the County Secretary calls on all those in the picture to submit names of the staff in need of promotion. The. Section heads are directed to submit also current designation, department or section, date of appointment, proposed grade of promotion, remarks and justification if any. Kakamega county Public Service CECM Dr Boniface Okoth this afternoon led Chief Officers Faith Gitira, Emanuel Kariuki and Butere Sub County officials at the home of the late Chief Officer Jessica Weku in Shinyulu for ongoing funeral preparations. The delegation met family members, the church for deliberations. Another meeting will be held on Monday. Chief Officer Weku died last week after a short illness.
