VACATE MUMIAS TRIANGLE LAND- COUNTY CHIEF OFFICER.
THE on going cultivation of County Land by locals in Mumias could delay the affordable housing project set for later this year. This was revealed yesterday by Kakamega County Chief Officer For Housing and Urban development Madam Faith Gitira. Speaking at Mumias municipal hall during a handing and taking over of the Town Manager, the CO told the provincial administration and local leaders to help take invaders to the contested land. She said she was aware that the land matter in Mumias was emotive adding the earlier the invaders are stopped the better since the county was ready to roll out a development plan on the approximate 13 Acre land along Ekero Mumias road. "People are cultivating crops on that land the local administration must help us this early to prevent them because that is grabbing county land and could delay development" She said.
