MALALA SHINES AT UDA NATIONAL. MEETING.

Image
By mwalimu Amunga  Today was the day of UDA. The party delegates painted Nairobi yellow. The party headquarters did not dissapoiint in terms of organisation,  planning and branding. One could nothelp notice the organisation skills of the party sg cleo who even led delegates through a mock election, that worles electronically and was adopted to be used in the forthcoming party elections.  And the good work of the party secretary did not miss the eye of the president. During the mock election that was projected on big screens at the Bomas Hall.. president Ruto openly voted for Malala.   And when the event was coming to a close the president singled out the party secretary General CLEOPHAS MALALA praise saying... ".. si tupigie huyu SG wetu makofi. Huyu ametembea Kenya mzima akishughulikia hii chama..." As Clleo rose to receive the accolades from his party leader, the president continued.. HOW KAKAMEGA PLANS TO BATTLE CLIMATE CHANGE

Image
KAKAMEGA County's Intergrated Development Program (CIDP) has for the first time since devolution, mainstreamed climate change as a factor. These revelations came out at Mung'ang'a grounds in Mumias East Constituency during the launch of the County Climate Change Action Plan (KCCCAP) by Governor Fernandes Barasa. Speaking while launching the plan, the county boss also said rapid population increase had led to dwindling quantity and quality of water and resources which had a direct bearing on the change in climatic condition. "Our CIPD has factored in the change in climate due to low carbon emissions, resource efficiency, specific climate change adaptation and mitigation measures not forgetting economic transformation" He said.  Governor Barasa said the county plan, expected to run 2023-2027 is geared towards inclusivity in activities with one aim to reduce prevalence of water and waterborne diseases.  Speaking at the event Peninnah Mukabana CECM Environ

THESE PHOTOS ARE DISGUSTING TO THE PUBLIC.

Image
POSTING of event photos comes with responsibility. Photos officially released by communicators of politicians must be guarded. Eshikumo2030.blogspot.com is publishing photos officially released by communication teams to social media of among others the first lady Janet Kasilly Barasa. Unbeknown to the so called communication teams, these pictures are to say the least disgusting. And because the rule of the thumb is that a picture is worth a thousand words, it's simply unprofessional to release some images of public figures to the public.  Political expedience not withstanding, photos of public figures must be descent, moral, quality and communicative.  FIRST Lady Janet Kasilly at an event to distribute inner pants to school children. This was released by her communication team despite it insinuating how poverty is being agrandised.  Matungu MP Peter Nabulindo said to be taking a motorbike tour of his constituency and waving at non existent indivi

COUNTY SECRETARY: IS THE SEAT JINXED OR JUST TOO SWEET TO LEAVE?

Image
AT the advent of devolution in 2016, everything looked new. People were getting used to counties as governments headed by Governors. County bosses were mini-gods, in Kakamega for instance, coming in from a Ministerial position, Whycliffe Oparanya was elected as a first Governor and as he put together his cabinet the position of County Secretary emerged as powerful. Juggling between political competing interests and systematic blatant looting, Oparanya decided to divide and rule as he neglected Butere his home. In 2013, Jeremiah Were was picked as the Kakamega County Secretary being a pioneer in the otherwise office that was seeing 'transition' between county and National Governments.  Soft spoken and naive, Mr. Were had to learn the ropes of how to deal with Ministers at the county despite pressure from the Governor himself at the time devolution was taking root as a system of governance.  Mr. Were lasted from 2013 to 2015 when he was suddenly released from the posi

In a short ceremony at the office Dr. Okoth also took over as Education CECM from Godfrey Owuor ending days of speculation that he had refused.  The rumour mill and social media had, since the mini reschuffle by Governor Fernandes Barasa, been awash with reports of a 'refusal' by the county employee to move.  A Screen grab of the Visitors book at the Education CECM's Office showing the proceedings.  Dr. Okoth had in an earlier video footage at a function said he had no issue with the changes saying his appointing authority was entitled to move him.  "Sina Shida na Governor Fernandes Barasa si mnajua mimi nilikua mtu wake wa mkono, sasa ameona niingie kwa Elimu ' He said.  This now, according to observers puts to rest speculation that there was a stand-off in the county ranks and file.  According to insider sources, individuals pushin

EXTORTIONIST "FMs" OF KAKAMEGA: WHO WILL STOP THEM?

Image
A STORY is told of an old woman who was cultivating her crops when suddenly a Hyena came running towards her. It was being chases by hunters. The animal, out of exhaustion and in tears, pleaded with the old woman to let it hide in her basket untill it's pursurers come and go. The octogenarian, filled with sympathy without a second thought allowed the animal to jump into her basket and hide away from it's tormentors. As she went on digging, a group of hunters, spears, arrows and bows in hand, came rushing to the scene and asked if the woman had seen a Hyena pass by. Madam Boss denied vehemently telling the hunters she had not seen any animal pass by. Crest-fallen, the hunters, after explain to the old lady how dangerous the animal was, went their way in pursuit of 'the animal'. A little while, the animal, sure about the absence of the hunters, emerged from the basket yawning and told the woman it was hungry and wanted to feed.  The rest is history .  Across social media

LOOSERS AND WINNERS IN GUV BARASA'S MINI-RESCHUFFLE

Image
SOCIAL media was abuzz with congratulation messages following a mini reschuffle by Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa early today. Conversation was centered around the dropping of Dr. Boniface Koth from the lucrative and powerful County Secretary to CEC Education replacing colorless Godfrey Owuor.  Debate seemed to suggest that Dr. Okoth had been a thorn in the flesh of many individuals for unknown reasons as many hailed his removal as timely.  The reschuffle which was expected last week delayed following a series of activities in the county including the President's visit and the just concluded Sugar conference.  In the mini movement, Human Resource CEC Lawrence OMUHAKA was promoted to replace Dr. Okoth as the helm as County Secretary leaving his revious position.  Also affected is the DG Ayub Savula removed as CEC trade to an amorphous "coordinate activities in all ministries and departments".  DO far, the biggest loosers according 5o social deba

LAST week, your favorite and fearless blog  eshikumo2030.blogspot.com  received an E-mail from a whistle blowe r.  The mail enumerated how, according to our source, (identity hidden) parents were being fleased by the Head mistress Sister Cyrilla Sanya and a cortorrie of individuals in the PTA and BOM.  For fairness, this blog contacted Sister Sanya for a response and she went verbose with threats, intimidation and cat calls how she would sue if we published the claims.  Living by our motto of fair, Free and fearless, we publish the letter verbatim and invite Sister Cyrilla to make good her threat to sue. We believe the school should not be used as a cash cow by a few individuals who are out to fleece parents.  "Class 8 parents were forced to pay shs.6,000 for there daughters 3 day trip to Nakuru, 2k per day. The girls were 290 in total and collection amounted to 1.7M. Parents begged the school to reduce the trip to two days, so that they pay 4k but the bullish PTA Chai
