HON NAICCA TO PRESIDENT: DONT APOLOGISE ON MUMIAS SUGAR.

Image
MUMIAS West MP Honourable Johnson Manya Naicca has told the president not to apologize for his sentiments on Mumias Sugar.  Speaking to eshikumo2030.blogspot.com today, Honourable Naicca wondered why it was only the LSK that was interested in MSC debate.  "Most lawyers have made their wealth from Mumias Sugar Company wars and it will be insensitive for the Law society of Kenya to ask for an apology from the President" said Naicca. He said since the wars of MSC erupted in the early 2000, lawyers have made millions fueling wars between waring parties in the MSC saga adding that this could be the reason LSK was defending them.  "Well known lawyers have been paid millions of shillings by MSC administration in wars that have nothing to do with the common farmer" He said. The MP called on President Ruto not to give in to any kind of preasure from any quarters in matters Mumias Sugar and focus on helping the company regain it's lost glory. "

By Mwalimu Akhanyalabandu HE lost the Kakamega Governorship to Fernandes Barasa, he took it in his step, he aimed at the sky, he has taken more people to meet the President than Wetang’ula and Mudavadi combined.  Youthful UDA Secretary General Cleophas Malala has also created more employment opportunities for his inner and outer circle than any other election looser or winner in Western Province.  A section of 'New Crop' leadership at Statehouse meeting President William Ruto courtesy of Hon Malala.  Despite the presence of Wetang’ula and Mudavadi in key government positions within the Kenya Kwanza coalition, their impact on Western Kenya’s development has remained a subject of debate. Malala recognizes this gap and is positioning himself to address it. His aspirations to leverage his position as Secretary-General of the ruling UDA party to advocate for significant development projects within Western Kenya reflect his ambition to secure tangible benefits

KAKAMEGA COUNTY ASSEMBLY MUST NOT BE A PARTY PUPPET.

Image
LAST Week, several events touching on  Kakamega County Assembly leadership took place and they should not go unexplained. First, two MCAs, Koyonzo's Donald Okumu and Kisa south's Benson Omboko were de-whipped from. Agriculture and Health committees respectively. In a letter signed by Speaker Hon James Namatsi, no reason was given for the action seen by many as an affront to the independence of the Assembly committees. Letter from ODM On the dewhip saga of MCAs in Kakamega County Assembly.  Before the ink could dry on the Speaker's letter, another letter from ODM Secretary General Hon. Edwin Sifuna surfaced rubbishing the said de-whip arguing that such an action, if it was to be done, was a preserve of the sponsor-party ODM. As this was being digested after it hit like a thunderbolt, ODM deputy Party leader Whycliffe Oparanya quickly convened a meeting between the dewhipped MCAs and party leader Raila Odinga.  At the meeting, seen as an attempt to mic

KAKAMEGA Woman Representative Elsie Muhanda yesterday told off his political detractors at a funeral attended by Governor Fernandes Barasa.  Speaking when she joined family and relatives of the late Mama Selpher Mbaisi Khakabo at Amalemba in Shirere, the Woman Rep, exuding rare confidence said she will not be detracted or intimidated.  "They are walking around saying Iam only giving umbrellas, do you want the Umbrellas to continue? She asked for which the crowd answered in the affirmative.  Hon Muhanda termed as blind those only seeing her umbrella project and not the education scholarships and cheques given to learners under NGAFF.  "My commitment and resolve towards better leadership now and in future remains to be among pillars that will forge development to this county" She said.  Euologizing the late, the WR said she was grateful for the support that the late contributed to the society as her impact will transcend generations.  She termed the late as a pillar of hop

GOVERNOR APPEARS, EXTINGUISHES RANTING MP.

Image
KAKAMEGA Governor Fernandes Barasa and his deputy Ayub Savula yesterday stormed Mumias East Constituency amid the local MP's online cat calls and childish rants. In a show of might, the Governor led the entire government from CECs, Chief Officers, quantity surveyors and valuers in a question and answer session that lasted four hours.  This was after local MP Peter Kalerwa Salasya PK had threatened to block the governor's visit in the area after the two apparently differed over the handling of the Mumias Sugar debacle. Police manning the Lubinu-Lusheya road where youths allied to area MP had lit bonfires protesting the Governor's visit after a spat with area MP. At one time before the arrival of the Governor, marauding youths stoned cars and lit bonfires along the Mumias Kakamega road at Mwitoti- Lusheya junction before they were quickly repulsed by the police.  The youths chanting anti-Barasa songs suddenly ran out of steam after their donor Hon Sala

DR. CONNIE LUSWETI MUST BEHAVE HONOURABLY OR ELSE.........

Image
Whilst we agree that western women leadership has been robust with women such as Julia ojiambo, the women sought to unite Mulembe Women in all their diversity and in equality.  The present day woman has however moved from that, they want equity in unity and empowerment. Dr. Connie Lusweti who is the national chair Mulembe Women should let each counties to choose their leadership. This meddling in county affairs will cost her future aspirations if she still dreams of being Kakamega Women Representative in future.  If her desire to have subcounty leadership choose county leadership stands, it simply means then the county leadership should inevitably choose national leadership!  Dr. LUSWETI must be told unequivocally that If this is the case, it currently puts her national leadership of Mulembe Women in jeopardy given that we have zero representation of other counties in the national leadership seeing that, the chair Dr. Connie , Secretary Mrs. Chimwene and organising secret
