BARASA TELLS OFF SAVULA OVER CO-GOVERNOR SLUR.
AZIMIO Kakamega candidate for Governor Fernandes Barasa yesterday told off his Deputy over claims that they had already shared Government.
Speaking while meeting Religious leaders at Bukhungu, Barasa appeared to rail at Savula's claim that already they had shared positions in the yet to be formed county government.
Barasa said Hon Ayub Savula was his Deputy and that their intension was to win the elections and form an all inclusive government for everyone.
"Forget about stories of dividing this government I to nusu mkate we intend to bring everyone on board including the Clergy" Saud Barasa.
This stand appeared to contradict that of Ayub Savula who had earlier said that he had scored 5 positions of CECs out if 10 in county government.
In a video footage obtained by Eshikumo2030, Savula is seen saying "Iam not Barasa's Deputy am actually a co-governor in the governorship if we win".
This verbal huggling is emerging after whispers that the two were not getting along well.
Sources have intimated that the two could have fallen apart over campaign finances where Savula complained that he was being sidelined.
Hon Ayub savula laying claim to half of a government that is yet to be formed. Fernandes Barasa has since dismissed talk of 50-50 sharing
Other sources have claimed that outgoing Governor Whycliffe Oparanya has a secret agreement with Barasa that he will select 5 ministers in the government and leave the remaining 5 to be shared by Savula and Barasa.
It is this arrangement it is claimed has irked Ayub Savula known to be cantankerous at times and he decided to push the narrative of nusu kwa nusu between him and Barasa and lock out Oparanya.
In the video footage, Ayub Savula is seen to be addressing a handful of people at an undisclosed location and telling them about the deal.
It is claimed this slur annoyed Barasa and he had to deny it immediately as it could be used by opponents as a campaign tool.
Barasa and Savula are trailing Kenya Kwanza's Cleo Malalah and Beatrice Inyangala both in Opinion polls and local ratings with most people said to be preffering Honourable Malala as governor.
