BUTERE MUNICIPALITY TO EMPLOY LOCALS FIRST. GOVERNOR.

KAKAMEGA Governor Fernandes Barasa has promised for the third time now that Butere's new municipal status will employ locals first. Speaking in Butere, the county boss applauded the Municipal Manager Titus Omondi a local as determined and focused.  "Its good we settled for a local to start this journey and as at now, Iam impressed that the Manager, dispite the teething problems has shown resilience" He said The Governor said already, budgetary allocations to the new administrative units of Butere, Matunda and Malava are in the pipeline. " Those concerned are already making budgetary proposals and soon we will advertise for the management board to run the new units" He said. GOVERNOR BARASA TO CONTRACTORS: DELIVER OR LEAVE.

KAKAMEGA Governor Fernandes Barasa has put contractors doing county jobs on notice to aither deliver on time or be delisted. Speaking in Butere, the county boss said some contractors were lagging behind on delivering County projects despite prompt payment. "I have already ordered accounting officers in each Ministry to follow up to the later all county funded works old or new to ensure good work and timely delivery" He said. Governor Barasa complaimed that delayed deliveries at the past had seen his administration potrayed as not delivering on her re-election promises. TWO Kakamega County Chief Officers have rallied residents to register for the health insurance SHA even if they do not like the initiator President HE  William Ruto. Speaking in Butere during Finance public perticipation, the two Dr. David Alila (Medical Services) and Rose Muhanda Public health accounting officers said the insurance was working. "As leaders, we are bound to tell our people the truth and in the Matter of Social Health there should be en-mass registration into SHA as it has demonstrated workerbility." Said Alila. A WEEK after the court of appeal kicked the former Kakamega Service Board member in the teeth, Governor Barasa now wants a fresh start. According to observers, this came as a relief as the board had attempted to arm twist the county boss and had held him at ransom for almost 18months. A newspaper advertisement seeking for the recruitment of a new Public Service Board of Kakamega.  Governor Barasa can now breath a sigh of relief as he seeks to tighten his grip and take total control on who qualifies to be employed in the apex hiring and firing body the Public Service Board - PSB.
