GOVERNOR BARASA TO CONTRACTORS: DELIVER OR LEAVE.

KAKAMEGA Governor Fernandes Barasa has put contractors doing county jobs on notice to aither deliver on time or be delisted.

Speaking in Butere, the county boss said some contractors were lagging behind on delivering County projects despite prompt payment.

"I have already ordered accounting officers in each Ministry to follow up to the later all county funded works old or new to ensure good work and timely delivery" He said.

Governor Barasa complaimed that delayed deliveries at the past had seen his administration potrayed as not delivering on her re-election promises.

"It will now be marathon, you deliver you stay or you dilly dally you are returned to sender because there are timeliness to most projects" He said. 

At a function where the Alumimae of Butere Boys Secondary were launching the school's history from 1964- 1977, HE Barasa praised the old boys for the effort saying despite their ages they could still remember the history of the institution. 

" Old boys who can have time to document their Alma matter in form of a book deserve support and praise in equal measure as it is no mean feat" He said. 

The county boss sad his administration will give Butere Boys secondary 50 computers to boost theit IT classes and a further budgetary allocation towards building of a moderm dorm and Dining hall.

Governor Barasa however underscored the need for former students who become endowed to go back and give back to society thru development. 

He said social responsibility was the key in supplementing government work adding that arrangements like social groups to help the less fortunate can be actualized in learning institutions. 

Butere boys secondary despite producing luminaries like former Governor Whyclife Oparanya, former cabinet Minister Amukowa Anangwe, Kakamega County Secretary Laurence Omuhaka among others is still stuck in the past with fort Jesus-like dorms and delapidated classes.
