Property worth millions of shillings is suspected to have been lost after unknown men broke into Bishop Sulumeti Girls high school.
According to the Principal Jane Cheloti, unknown people broke into the girl's dormitory and stole property including blankets, text books and uniforms.
Speaking on phone, the Principal said the incident that happened one week before last week's re-opening had been reported to the police.
"We do not know what exactly was stolen but most boxes of the girls were broken into, tho we have had security in the school through the Corona period" She said.
Mrs. Cheloti said the school administration had not told parents adding that they were in the process of documenting what was missing from each student.
Parents who spoke to the media expressed worry on the safety of the girls and blamed the school administration of not keeping them in the picture on the situation and the needs.
"The school must not pass the Costs to us because we pay for security, they must document the lost property and buy for the students because it is the fault on the part of the school administration" said a parent.
We established that when students reported last week, most of them spent the night in the cold dormitory as blankets, sheets and mattresses were missing.
It is also said the school administration had warned the students not to tell their parents as the principal was said to be planning on how to relay the information without coursing tension.
We also established that most students had not been given blankets or mattresses as the school administration remained tight lipped on when the situation was to be addressed.
The principal said on phone that the police had not arrested anybody and that they were also yet to get back and report progress of investigations.
