GUV BARASA IN HEROE'S WELCOME AT OPARANYA'S BUTERE.
KAKAMEGA Governor Fernandes Barasa was received like a hero in his predicesor Whyclife Oparanya's back yard of Butere.
At a public engagement meeting with the people on the projects and question and answer session, locals played out their demands.

Despite having had a Governor for ten solid years, electricity, access to clean drinking water, access to quality health care, security and poor ECDE arrangements remain challenges in Butere.
In his short, address Governor Barasa said he was determined to complete all projects stated by the Ex Governor including the completion of the Butere level four hospital.
"I will strive to finish all the projects begun by Honorable Oparanya and I will alocate the necessary resources to equip the built projects to capacity." Said Governor Barasa.
He said his Government had also increased Bursary alocation per war from Ksh 2M to 4 M due to what he termed as the rise in demand for education in Kakamega.

Governor Barasa said the completion and equipping of the level hospital in Butere will be a game-changer in terms of health management.
Elected on a popular manifesto, Governor Barasa said he is keen on implementing every article of the document adding that it was time for development and not politicking.
It's clear Butere has given the Governor an arousing welcome in all the other sub counties he has visited because of a determination by Sub county Coordinators who burnt the mid night oil to rally locals to attend and ask questions.

According to a CECM who did not want to be named, the reception and the quality of questions in Butere haves outdone all those asked in the 9 other sub counties of Kakamega.

Earlier, Governor had condole with the family of the late KNUT Guru Jimmy Rechards Owaandati in Butere where he said the revolutionary teacher had played a big role in the political leadership of Butere.
