Officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) arrested a Chief Inspector of Police for sodomizing four teenage boys. In a statement on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, DCI said the boys were found sleeping in the house of the cop. Here's the DCI's statement: "This morning some minutes past midnight, our officers rescued four boys aged between 14-15 years and two young adults of 18 & 19 years, from the yoke of sodomy. By Joel Eshikumo The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) Director-General (DG) Robert Pavel Oimeke is being held at Integrity Centre after he was arrested for soliciting Sh200,000 bribe to approve the opening of a petrol station. According to a statement by EACC, a filling station in Oyugis had previously been closed after being fined in a case involving possessing super export petrol. After paying Sh309,842 to KRA, and later issuing a clearance letter; the station opted to go through the EPRA DG to get authorisation for reopening. EPRA intentionally delayed releasing the authorisation prompting the staff from the filling station to visit the regulatory body and initiate communication. They would exchange numbers and conversation would continue over the phone. On Thursday, December 10, the complainant reported the case to Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission. By Joel Eshikumo Parents to 19 years old Faith Ngina Makaa a student at St Elizabeth Lureko Secondary have dismissed claims that she died of the novela Covid-19.  Speaking at their home in Mumias Mr and Mrs Musyoki said their daughter was diagnosed with Menengaitis at Ahmadiya Hospital in Shianda.  Displaying a signed doctor's report the distraught parents said they had been traumatized by reports by a section of the press that Faith had succumbed to Corona virus.  "We admitted her at Ahmadiya on 4th, she was referred to Life Care in Bungoma a day later but she could not make it she died at the hospital reception and not at Mumias Isolation center" Said Mrs. Musioki.  Last week there were reports that Faith had died at the Mumias Isolation center due to difficulty in breathing but hospital documents of tests carried out on the late show that she had a cute Meningitis.  Medical report showing that the late Student succumbed to Meningitis and not Covid-19.  At least seven Cabinet Secretaries, 11 governors and 7 MPs are on the Director of Public Prosecutions’ radar for corruption. This is according to the high voltage files DPP Noordin Haji handed to President Uhuru Kenyatta recently. The Office of Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) has registered cases worth Sh224 billion involving top government officials in the last three years. The 53 cases on corruption allegations involve seven Cabinet Secretaries and Permanent Secretaries, 11 governors and senior county officials, 22 directors and chief executive officers, and seven MPs. Noordin Haji noted they have filed the cases, despite various challenges that require a high level of expertise to prosecute. It is the taxpayers’ money held in litigation that the prosecution office is legally battling to recover, using a new strategy as it faces it off in court with a battery of lawyers hired by the prominent personalities. By Joel Eshikumo.  FOR the entire week, claims that an ongoing football tournament in Kakamega County was being sponsored by among others the Kenya Electricity Transmission Company - Ketraco cut across like a sharp razor. Social media platforms were awash with different  posters of the same  Talanta Mashinani  tournament as hoards of supporters, Goons and critics alike, pounced for a piece of the pie in the raging debate.  The poster sensationally showing  that the football extravaganza was being sponsored by Baraza Foundation (a brain child of Ketraco CEO Fernandes Odinga Baraza), Odi Bet and Ketraco first appeared on a Tweeter account of one  @kwateraaustine.  It was quickly picked up by 45 other influential Watsap groups among them  Pamoja Twasikika,  a group allied to Kakamega-based preasure group Bunge La Haki Usawa na Maendeleo.  Other groups that took up the "KETRACO - sponsorship" topic included   Great Butere Constituency, Friends of Mumias FOM, Pamoja Tusikike Kenya

MIGORI COUNTY SPEAKER ARRESTED.  Migori County Assembly Speaker Boaz Okoth was forced to defer Governor Okoth Obado's impeachment motion after he was arrested on Tuesday, September 29. NTV was first to report that Okoth was apprehended by detectives in Nairobi in a case related to the chaos that ensued in the assembly on Wednesday, September 23. A female MCA's arm was broken after goons reportedly stormed into the assembly and interfered with the motion seeking to eject Obado as Governor. Okoth had earlier on lamented that he feared for his life and accused ODM of orchestrating attacks on him and his family. "I was attacked in the presence of ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna. The person who attacked my bodyguard was his brother. “I am not sure why they attacked me. I think they thought I was with some MCAs at the hotel. My life is in danger," he stated.
