EXCLUSIVE! MUMIAS MANAGEMENT SELLS STEEL WORTH KSH 8M. In what is seen as secret vandalism.

Receipts depicting the sale of MSC parts as scrap metal.

TWO contractual firms have occasionally been transporting steel metals vandalized from Mumias Sugar fir sale across the boarders.

This blog has exclusively obtained video footage, still photos, official Mumuas Sugar sale receipts and communication on the discrete sale.

The receipts show the sale business thriving Immediately before the arrival of the receiver Mr. PVR RAO, after his arrival and during his stay to date.

Two firms, Migot Agencies and Elukata Suppliers are believed to be contracted to ferry the tons of heavy metals in the deep of the night thru to Busia for the market.

An OB report filed at Nambale Police Station details how a 10-ton lorry with registration KBR 726K was impounded with the metals and confiscated.

A source at the police station however says a phone call from a top county official had the lorry and its contents released and escorted to Busia town.

Another receipt in our procession shows Mumias Sugar as the source of "scrap metal" weighing 12.7 tons, destined for Kisumu and worth Ksh 457,200.

Names reccuring in the documents include a driver by the names Benjamin Owiti, Mour7ce Kulibi, Simon Kongina, Erick khalumi and William Owuor.

A predictable trend shows that top officers picked by the MSC - KCB receiver Manager engaged in this hot trade unabetted right under his nose.

Video footage shows lorry-loads of mild steel being smuggled from the company as the security watches without doing anything.

The sale and suspected butchering of the company that should be revived has raised uproar in Kakamega and Busia based farmers association group led by Mr. Peter Odima and Bunge La Haki Usawa na Maendeleo led by Musa Ekaya and Boniface Manda.

The two groups have questioned the sincerity of individuals fronting a revival plan for the company.

Speaking last week, the officials wondered if the sale of the company parts was part of the agreement by KCB to the receiver Manager if recovering the amounts owned in debts.

An insider told this blog that vandals are working in cahoots with the receiver security and could soon cripple the main mill whose feeder steel pipes have been sold off.

"We receive instructions to release parts of the main mill and we can not question because the transporters have strict instructions to us on what should be done" Said a top officer.

It is clear that the interest of RAO to lease the company to Steel millionaire DEVKI was to purely butcher Mumias Sugar and sale its parts as scrap for refining.

The suspicious lease was stopped by the senate committee on agriculture and livestock after it emerged that 7 other bidders were still interested in the lease despite DEVKI's cry wolf before the process was complete.

Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala had petitioned the committee to question the lease process as DEVKI was all over the print and electronic media bragging how he was well endowed and wanted the company.

During the Senate grilling, it emerged that RAO and DEVKI had a history of trading in metals after the former gave the later metals from Kwale Sugar Company where RAO was the receiver.
