EDITORIAL: TINDI MWALE HOW NOT TO RENOVATE.
By @eshikumo2030 Investigative Team
WHAT MATTERS.
It does not take an expert to know and see shoddy works weather funded by TAXE payers or private cash
The works going on at Shibembe Primary both the four classes and the storey building are for lack of better words, expensively dangerous.
The four classes being 'renovated' were built in the early 70s its not logical or enough to just remove the roof, paint and use the same timber on new iron sheets.
It's illogical to save on nails by straightening the old ones and still using them on the building.
NG-CDF Butere put Ksh 2Million on the account of the school for the renovation. Money was withdrawn after the PMC chairman was told by the MP to sign a cheque of 350,000 to fund Butere Primary Education day.
Both the the Chairman and the Treasurer are still waiting to see the renovation Bill of Quantities for which the contractor says is still at Public Works.
According to the Chairman and Treasurer PMC shibembe primary, the remaining amount was withdrawn and given to the contractor in bulk.
A sign that Pupils are using the incomplete storey Building in Shibembe. |
These buildings and renovations could be well advised but they remain fattening grounds for cartels, accolyths, blind clappers, loud mouths, unrefined commentators, notorious mercenaries, crooks, scoundrels and robots that can be switched hither and thither.
As we write this the substandard renovations trudges on as CABALS sing and dance themselves lame on the so called "achievements" of Tindi Mwale. With mercenaries peddling unrefined commentaries to hold people captive to deceit.
It does not need a rocket scientist to see that the shibembe storey building has a hanging ramp cracked yet pupils occupy the unfinished building to the chagrin of the contractor.
It is therefore incumbent upon Tindi Mwale to reign in on this contractor, get to the ground and admonish some of these shoddy and glaring mistakes.
Same Old Timber repainted with a cheap preservative used again on the Ksh 2 Million worth of Renovation. |
At @eshikumo2030, we hold that PMC members in shibembe and the community deserve quality work and demand so.
PMC members must be provided with the BQ of the renovation ASAP because that what the law states.
PMC members especially the Chairman and the treasurer plus the contractor must be held accountable to the monies they signed. Ksh TWO MILLION is not to be chewed just like that.
The Projects chairman at Butere NG-CDF MUST be made to explain on whose orders he went hunting for cheque signatures late in the night.
The school headmistress MUST not be kept in the dark about on goings at the institution.
Tindi Mwale, if what the PMC officials claim is anything to go by, must not be allowed to take advantage of the ignorance of the Shibembe community to send them plastic projects for their apparent lack of a voice.
FASCADE; Building looks good from far but dangerous from near. |
Finally, these renovations MUST be anchored in law because it's public money from the exchequer that is being used and contents of the BQ MUST BE followed to the later.
AVAILABLE:
