REVIVAL OF MSC 

It's would have been easier to fight COVID-19 with an operational MSC today. Notwithstanding, those who perpetually brought our economy down, he is bringing hygiene in  the sugarcane sector, supporting sugarcane development, and encouraging residents in the footsteps of the Late Hon. Dr.  Elon Wameyo to go back to cane farming again! This will strongly awaken this economy. 

FOOD SECURITY: Knowing that feeding of our people during this time of COVID-19 needs a well secured County with food security. Though in his first term as CEC Member, Tea, Dairy, Maize Mill factories are well underway with construction under the JICA One Village One Product (OVOP) initiative.

INDUSTRIALIZATION: Our local industries: Fish Processing factory in Kakamega almost operational, Industrial Park in Mumias West/Matungu hosting the Garment factory is well under development with EPZA support, Grain Amaranth and Maize milling, Tea, Dairy processing plants are on course. Let's stand with our own. 
EPZA operations and investor support general manager Meshack Kimeu and Kakamega Trade executive Kassim Ali after signing an MoU to set up an industrial park in Matungu. 

KW-BIASHARA HUBS: In mumias East. God showed him that one day, Mumias East residents will be owners of the biggest Microfinance in the region. They will be able to bank millions in cash that they will borrow at low interest rates & grow as a people. Time is ripe and the KW-Biashara Hubs are now established ... going for ideas whose time has come to grow our people out of poverty! This is how leaders respond to their people's needs to create impactful interventions!

SPORTING TALENT: Today the Bumwende Stadium is under construction and the support for games facilities is at his heart.

ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE:
As Mumias residents suffer in the current leadership's looting spree on poor roads and harassment of CDF employees, Kassim Were, has done the roads in his rural Bumwende, Elwasambi and many more are in the pipeline.

 NEEDY CHILDREN: And he participated in the setup of St Joseph Shibinga Secondary, Ebusia Secondary, Lubinu Girls - our Schools; Supported best student on County scholarship get to China for studies. May our children grow through these learning institutions to fame and growth of our region. 

 WESTERN TOURISM CIRCUIT: That has seen him mobilize stakeholders countrywide for implementation of the electric fencing of the kakamega  forest project, the development of crying stone (Ikhongo Murwi) and other 5 tourism heritage sites including our own Nabongo Shrines, the playoffs of the kakamega Rugby 7s and bull sport development.

    The citizenry is hapless and hopeless. Hon Kassim is the only oasis in this desert of lost hope.
    I can attest that his transformative ideologies can resuscitate the dying economy.
    For the short stint in management at the county, the 12 sub counties in Kakamega has experienced monumental development in dockets he has manned.
    I can confidently say without batting my eyelid that Mumias East has a leader to take this constituency to a nirvana of peace, economic stability and development in all spheres.

GUARDS INJURED AS ELSIE RUNS OUT OF CASH AT FUNERAL.

A   FUNERAL  in Butere has left three body guards of Kakamega Women Representative Elsie Muhanda hospitalised after youths demanded for money at the occasion. Drama ensued when Muhanda, currently eyeing to be Governor promised money to mourners at a funeral in Mulambo area of Butere Sub County. In her short speech to mourners, Hon Muhanda had assured mourners that she had money and she could use the same in her Guberbatorial bid and that they should not worry. After her speech she told mourners to line up for a token in which she started dishing out Ksh 50 per person present.  Excited women and youths who were at the occasion started chanting songs in her praise as Woman Representative as they gyrated to  isukuti .  SAFETY : Honourable Elsie Muhanda being whisked to safety in Butere when she ran out of cash at a funeral.  Soon after her speech, hell broke loose the local MP Tindi Mwale who had taken off earlier was not present to defend The Woman representative

MUMIAS LEVEL 4 HOSPITAL: SABOTAGE OR INCOMPETENCE?

LAST week we got an e-mail from a whistle blower at Mumias Level4 hospital narrating on goings there. From the mail, it appears there is a deliberate effort aither thru ommission or commission by those charged with daily running the institution to bring it down.  Those entrusted by the County Government see that the institution lives to its name of LEVEL FOUR appear to be determined to pull it apart. Locals have failed to get services from the institution dispite the county investing in its well being in terms of drugs and Budget. As a responsible media, we set out to get a comment from those mentioned in the ongoing at the institution.
