OPINION : A CASE FOR FERNANDES BARASA IN KAKAMEGA BID.

OPINION

With just an annual budget of 15.2 billions, Kakamega County has been able to deliver quality services to the people because we entrusted our resources to an individual who has financial knowledge and experience in managing resources. 

This great County will only be able to perform better again if we again entrust another individual who has the knowledge, experience and proven performance displayed elsewhere.

Let me  elaborate here candidly why we must by all odds choose a manager to run the affairs of this county.
With an already worse economic situation in our country, anyone with an eagle's eye must be able to see hard times far on the horizon.

The huge loans from IMF, World Bank, Euro bond and ADB are to be paid, starting in 2-3 years time. The government must continue running its affairs regardless of this situation.  

Since these monies must come from the national government to the counties to sustain development and pay for the recurrent expenditures, how will the counties operate without the money? 

I'm seeing a situation where the CoG will be frustrated to an extent of issuing ultimatums to the national government to issue monies allocated to counties whose budget will be overstretched beyond elasticity! 

All these frustrations will be aired in every local radio station so that every taxpayer is aware of their frustrations in order to attract sympathy. 

This is where you need a manager to do the miracles! Of course the politicians will be running Helter skelter in search of the little resources but in vain. 

A manager will simply employ his skills and attract development partners who'll be able to come and invest in order to turn around our economy. 

The manager will be able to get a major project that will absorb a huge number of employees. Every household in this great county will get a lifeline courtesy of this one important gesture. 

The little resources that will be coming from the national government because of the constraints will be reconciled with the county revenue and channeled to important services like primary healthcare and other devolved functions that don't require major funding. 

Politicians are likely to be overwhelmed with this situation and go for shortcuts.They'll simply start patching and painting the permanent structures in order to hide the reality! 

Only one person fits the bill! Fcpa Fernandes Barasa has a proven performance and a network of development partners. Him alone can change our life from where we're as the people of this great county to a better place. Let's not gamble by electing jokers for governorship. We shall allow them to sit aside and see how management of resources is done!

GUARDS INJURED AS ELSIE RUNS OUT OF CASH AT FUNERAL.

A   FUNERAL  in Butere has left three body guards of Kakamega Women Representative Elsie Muhanda hospitalised after youths demanded for money at the occasion. Drama ensued when Muhanda, currently eyeing to be Governor promised money to mourners at a funeral in Mulambo area of Butere Sub County. In her short speech to mourners, Hon Muhanda had assured mourners that she had money and she could use the same in her Guberbatorial bid and that they should not worry. After her speech she told mourners to line up for a token in which she started dishing out Ksh 50 per person present.  Excited women and youths who were at the occasion started chanting songs in her praise as Woman Representative as they gyrated to  isukuti .  SAFETY : Honourable Elsie Muhanda being whisked to safety in Butere when she ran out of cash at a funeral.  Soon after her speech, hell broke loose the local MP Tindi Mwale who had taken off earlier was not present to defend The Woman representative

MUMIAS LEVEL 4 HOSPITAL: SABOTAGE OR INCOMPETENCE?

LAST week we got an e-mail from a whistle blower at Mumias Level4 hospital narrating on goings there. From the mail, it appears there is a deliberate effort aither thru ommission or commission by those charged with daily running the institution to bring it down.  Those entrusted by the County Government see that the institution lives to its name of LEVEL FOUR appear to be determined to pull it apart. Locals have failed to get services from the institution dispite the county investing in its well being in terms of drugs and Budget. As a responsible media, we set out to get a comment from those mentioned in the ongoing at the institution.
