KAKAMEGA FIRST LADY'S "ALETWE" ORDER ON 'RANDY' CHIEF MISPLACED.
EDITORIAL
NOT so many years ago, Kenyans woke up to the President of the Republic frog matched before cameras, ordered to say 'I have one wife'.
Before that incident, the Late First Lady Lucy Kibaki, complete with mean-looking body guards had raided a leading media house in a night orgy, assaulting journalists and throwing insults at them.
Their crime: Referring to Nyeri politician Mary Wambui as a second lady that is, Kibaki's other wife.
The picture of a mean-looking Lucy and a visibly scared President Kibaki proclaiming that he only has "one loving wife" is still fresh in our minds.
After that, there was debate in Kenya on who could be running the country or making decisions for the President in the running of the country.
Fast forward Kakamega First lady Professor Janet Kaili last week ordered a chief to 'letwe kwangu' a said amorous Assistant Chief.
It was claimed the said member of the Provincial Administration was luring mostly school girls into sex porgies using money and phone gifts.
At eshikumo2030.blogspot.com, our civil duty is to call out such outrageous and misplaced orders that could in future bred our own Lucy Kibaki.
In a widely-shared video footage, a visibly angered Prof. Kasili calls out to the Assistant Chief and after saying aletwe kwangu, she appears to quickly realize her mistake and says hatua ichukuliwe.
This has triggered debate on social media on even if the said 'randy' Provincial Administrator whose immediate boss is the area Chief, the ACC in that order was arrested and taken to Prof. Kasili what will she do?
This begs the question: Can the first lady discipline a member employed by the National Government as a Chief or his assistant?
As the Kakamega County Assembly attempts to create a constitutional office for her, The first lady of Kakamega must be called to order and told to draw lines and extents she can go.
On that case Prof. Kasili should have admonished the said Assistant Chief, called and facilitated witnesses and complenants to record statements with the police and action taken.
Prof. Kasili, the epitome of tender motherhood care in the county must be briefed properly, her Media handlers must know what to feed to the public and what not, we understand news is a perishable good it must be released immediately but from a first lady, unless the news is breaking let it be looked at severally.
Secondly, it's hightime Prof. Kasili was allocated journalists not relatives in her press team maybe that will give her quality debrief before pu lic speaking and utterances because nobody wants to end up with another Lucy Kibaki.
ENDS.
