Dear Brothers and Sisters, After extensive consultations and a profound forty-day experience, I have decided to resign from my position as Chief of Staff for Kakamega County. I tendered my resignation to the Governor this morning, wishing him all the best in his future endeavors. In my correspondence, I highlighted the dire state of our medical facilities, emphasizing that to believe our health sector is functioning effectively is to embrace a falsehood. It is my conviction that the Chief Officer of Health is misrepresenting the realities of a system that is, in fact, failing. Furthermore, I urged the Governor to initiate urgent reforms within the Finance Department, ensuring that contractors who have fulfilled their obligations are compensated in a timely manner. It is vital that pending payments for staff, as well as dues for retired ECDE teachers, are settled promptly.
