By publicly declaring his intention to contest for Governor of Kakamega in 2027, Deputy Governor AYUB SAVULA is behaving like the proverbial man who seeks to inherit his brother’s wife while that brother is still alive. Traditionally, such conduct is   regarded as immoral and dishonourable. Politically, this declaration signals impatience, impropriety, and a troubling absence of loyalty within the very office he occupies. Governor FERNANDES BARASA is constitutionally and politically eligible for a second term. This fact is neither incidental nor negotiable.
