DEFAMATION: WHY ELSIE WENT FOR BARASA'S TOP CREAM IN BLOGGING. "The WR could as well want to lure the cream on her side....... To inject zeal in her media"  Opinion by Laurence Imbai Mkata LAST week, Kakamega Women MP Elsie Muhanda went public that she has sued Governor Fernandes Barasa, his wife Janet and a host of bloggers for an alleged assault on her reputation and character.  Thru city Lawyer Danstan Omari, the MP claimed she took the action after two issues happened that she claims amounted to defamation. The issues include the death of a Polytechnic principal and an alleged rendezvous by the MP by "small boys in hotel rooms". By publicly declaring his intention to contest for Governor of Kakamega in 2027, Deputy Governor AYUB SAVULA is behaving like the proverbial man who seeks to inherit his brother’s wife while that brother is still alive. Traditionally, such conduct is   regarded as immoral and dishonourable. Politically, this declaration signals impatience, impropriety, and a troubling absence of loyalty within the very office he occupies. Governor FERNANDES BARASA is constitutionally and politically eligible for a second term. This fact is neither incidental nor negotiable. It forms the very foundation of orderly leadership and continuity in governance. The role of a deputy governor is not to posture as a rival in waiting.
