LAND DISPUTE: MATUNGU MAN WANTS SCHOOL RELOCATED.
AN Octogenarian who volunteered land on which Nyambula Primary school in Matungu stands 12 years ago now wants his land back.
85 years old Isaya Okiya claims he was dupped into signing an agreement in December 2009 by the local assistant chief Roselyda Awino.
Speaking in Mumias, Mr. Okiya who was accompanied by his son said someone at Matungu CDF could have taken advantage of the situation during the Late MP Omurunga's tenure.
"We were told that the school was going to be built on that land and that the government would pay us for the land" he said.
Mzee Okiya said his efforts to follow up the matter had bore no fruit as everytime the local administration takes to threatening his family.
" I have heard CDF officers claim money was paid for the land and I wonder who received the money on my behalf because I did not" he said.
Okiya has threatened to move to court to sue the provincial administrators who he claims were part of the big fraud, he says the delay had caused some of his sons to drop out of school for lack of fees.
AN agreement between the Old man and the Matungu CDF seen by @eshikumo2030 shows that two families had volunteered to have the school built on their land and that each one of them had been paid Ksh 30,000 in December 2009.
