BREAKING NEWS! NEW FACES IN GOVERNOR OPARANYA'S CABINET.
Governor H.E Dr FCPA Wycliffe Oparanya has today made changes to his cabinet in a bid to strengthen his Government for effective service delivery.
In the changes announced today, Dr Oparanya has appointed Finance Chief Officer Ambassador James Ochami as the new County Secretary (CS) replacing Madam Jacinta Aluoch who is now the Director Lake Region Economic Bloc (LREB) Resource Mobilization and Partnership.
Madam Rachel Okumu has been moved from Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Cooperatives to Public Service and County Administration.
Madam Rodah Masaviru is the new CECM for Water, Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change replacing Mr Fanuel Kulati Wangia who is the new CECM for Roads, Energy and Public Works.
Mr Geoffrey Omulayi moves from Roads to head Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Cooperatives.
Mr Isaac Omungo is the new Chief of Staff a position that has been vacant since the death of Mr Robert Sumbi.
The Governor also made new appointments of Chief Officers among them; Mr Nabii Nabwera as acting CO for Livestock and Veterinary Services while Madam Doreen Muhambe Amwoga acting CO for Education, Science and Technology.
Mr Fanuel Musasia takes over as acting CO for ICT and e-Government, ERP and Connectivity while Dr Felister Moraa Mose is the new CO for Health Services.
Mr Zephaniah Otieno is the acting CO for Fisheries Development and Mr Samson Otieno as the acting CO for Finance.
Col Job Lubanga Akhulia is the acting CO for County Administration and Mr Dan Borter is the acting CO for Economic Planning and Investments.
"The changes take effect immediately," said Governor Oparanya.
