Hon. Nabulindo's Ten Point Manifesto for Matungu

1. Education
✓ Continuation of scholarship programs for deserving learners of Matungu Constituency.
✓ Equity & equality in the allocation & distribution of bursaries to the learners of Matungu Constituency.
✓ Continuation of TVET and Nita programs. 

✓ 5 centres of excellence from 2022-2027
✓ Comstruction of University in Kholera Ward from 2022-2027
✓ Construction of TTI in Namamali from 2022-2027
✓ Building of more Primary and Secondary Schools from 2022-2027

2. Infrastructural development.
✓ Building of dormitories, administration blocks, classrooms etc in our schools. 

3.  Electricity.
✓ Completion of phase 2 and 3 of the street Lighting program following successful phase 1 completion.
✓ Completion of the ongoing Last Mile Connectivity to households across Matungu Constituency.

4. Roads:
✓ All feeder roads to be upgraded to facilitate easy movement of Agricultural produce from farms to the markets.
✓ Negotiation for the upgrade to bitumen level of highways i.e Ogalo-Indangalasia-Mumias Rd.. Ejinja-Namalasire-Sio Rd. etc

5. Youth & Women Empowerment:
✓ All youth groups and women groups shall be liable for Youth fund, Uwezo fund and Women Enterprise fund to enable them up their small scale businesses.

6. Vulnerable Groups (PLWDs, Widows).
✓ There will be an elaborate scheme that will ensure such groups are empowered fully to enable them become self-reliant.

7. Health Services
✓ 100% liaison with the county government to ensure hospitals are adequately staffed, properly supplied with drugs and have proper working environment as well as improvement of services for effective health provision.

✓ Acquisition of extra land for hospital with limited space to allow for construction of all required sections.

8. Agriculture
✓ Introduction of modern
farming techniques eg. introduction of green houses, irrigation, fish farming etc.
Introduction of short seasoned cash crops eg.Tomatoes, cabbages, sukuma wiki (kales) and
traditional crops that mature fast like potatoes and cassavas to avoid the current monotony of beans and maize.

9.Talent Nurturing
✓ Construction of a talent academy in the Constituency where talents will be harnessed and nurtured.
✓ Provision of platforms where nurtured talents will be marketed to international levels.

10. Matungu the Investment Hub.
Matungu Constituency will be an investment hub of Kakamega County where investors will be wooed to come and invest hence improvement of economy and provison of jobs to both jua Kali industries and professionals.

KAKAMEGA SERVICE BOARD UNDER SIEGE - As fresh bid to kick it out is received by Assembly.

A Petition to remove the six members of the Kakamega Public Service Board was yesterday received by the Assembly. We can exclusively reveal. The petitioner Dennis Duncan Muhanda wants the Assembly to consider kicking out the County employment body on a myriad of violations. The resident of Mahiakalo who has lodged the Petition pursuant to the provisions of Article 38 of the constitution section 5 of the county government Act. The six individuals tagetted are Chairperson Catherine Raini Omweno, John Ambrose Wanyama, Stanly Amwayi Were, Joel Amukoko Anyera,Sylvia Itembe Otunga and Ralph Wangatia Immam who constitute the CPDB. BREAKING NEWS: COURT STOPS OPARANYA'S KIN BURIAL

MUMIAS COURT has just stopped the burial of former firsts Lady's uncle over land tussle. In an order by Senior Principal magistrate at Mumias, the burial of Banerd Martin Kadima on a contested parcel of land be stopped. In an application filed by Rajab Opondo Wamukoya thru Maina Kuchio Omukamani advocates, the Plaintiff cites it as urgent.  The late Benard Martin Kadima is the uncle to Priscilla OPARANYA former First Lady and spouce to Governor Whyclifre Oparanya.  The order, to be served upon Butula Mortuary as the second respondent sets 16th as the hearing date where all parties including the first respondent Christopher Kadima will be present.  Apparently, the deceased transferred the contested parcel of land to himself then later to his son without succession.  The brother, the Plaintiff here, is living on land without a title deed.
