LOOSERS AND WINNERS IN GUV BARASA'S MINI-RESCHUFFLE

SOCIAL media was abuzz with congratulation messages following a mini reschuffle by Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa early today.

Conversation was centered around the dropping of Dr. Boniface Koth from the lucrative and powerful County Secretary to CEC Education replacing colorless Godfrey Owuor.
Debate seemed to suggest that Dr. Okoth had been a thorn in the flesh of many individuals for unknown reasons as many hailed his removal as timely.

The reschuffle which was expected last week delayed following a series of activities in the county including the President's visit and the just concluded Sugar conference.

In the mini movement, Human Resource CEC Lawrence OMUHAKA was promoted to replace Dr. Okoth as the helm as County Secretary leaving his revious position.

Also affected is the DG Ayub Savula removed as CEC trade to an amorphous "coordinate activities in all ministries and departments".

DO far, the biggest loosers according 5o social debate and outlook are Dr. Okoth who will now handle Education Ministry that only controls ECDE and polytechnics and the DG whose amorphous 'ministry' of coordination remains unclear.
The gainers include Omuhaka and Owuor who have sot of climbed ladders from their previous positions.

Known critics of the Barasa administration since inception however hailed the changes as timely and showing that the Governor was listening to the heart beat of the county.

Lawyer Kennedy Echesa in a watsapp post said "On this one am with Gov Barasa 100 Per Cent. Atleast he has a County Secretary nowπŸ‘πŸΏπŸ‘πŸΏπŸ‘πŸΏ Godfrey Owori is also a very reasonable man" he wrote on Pamoja Twasikika the biggest County and most active social platform in Kakamega run by Bunge LA HAKI Pressure Group.

Social commentator and firmer Economic Advisor to Governor Barasa, Desterio Okumu, also wrote: "No.2 I salute  H.E FCPA fernandes Barasa OGW. Mr Lawrence Omuhaka your truck record speaks chapa Kazi"

Another commentator on the platform known as Madam Jahendah, without explaining said "Okoth was a nuisance to the people that's why we must celebrate his removal/demotion"
