GOVERNOR'S CUP: LEAVE WAZIRI CPA JACKLINE MASICHA ALONE.

Image
The recent criticism directed at CECM CPA Jackline Masicha has been neither fair nor well-intentioned. Framed as concern over competence, it has largely been driven by ill motives and premature judgment, particularly around the Governor's Cup, one of H.E Governor Barasa's key flagship programmes. Events have since spoken for themselves. The Governor's Cup finals held at Bukhungu Stadium were executed with exceptional success. The tournament was well organised, attracted overwhelming crowds, and was graced by His Excellency President William Ruto, affirming its national relevance and institutional credibility. This was not a symbolic achievement, but a practical demonstration of leadership, coordination, and delivery under pressure. Beyond scale and visibility, the programme reflected progressive leadership through the inclusion of new disciplines such as rugby and football for Persons Living with Disabilities (PLWDs) for the first time. This expansion reinforced...

CYRUS JIRONGO AND LESSONS WHEN YOU ARE "FORMER"

Image
Cyrus Shakhalaga Khwa Jirongo was born on March 21, 1961. He attended Mang’u High School between 1978 and 1981. He became widely known at a young age for his political organizing skills rather than for a formal professional background. Jirongo rose to national prominence in 1992 as the leader of Youth for KANU 92, a powerful political lobby group formed to support President Daniel arap Moi during Kenya’s first multiparty elections. The group played a major role in mobilization and fundraising and made Jirongo one of the most influential young political figures of the early 1990s. Before holding elective office, Jirongo served as chairman of AFC Leopards Football Club in 1991. This role helped raise his public profile beyond politics. During the 1990s, Jirongo was associated with several business ventures, particularly in real estate and agriculture. He publicly claimed to have become a billionaire at a young age. Over time, however, many of these ventures became heavily ind...

AMESO WAS MOST USELESS WOMAN MP IN DEVOLUTION HISTORY.

Image
I have read from online know-it-alls and time wasters paid in wages about Rachael Ameso wanting to be Kakamega Woman MP in 2027. The rubbish being published by idlers to paint the good old lady Recho as a sait, biblically from Saul to Paul is to say the least stupidity elevated. When devolution begun, Governors were demigods and needed to be checked to the hilt in as far as funds leak was concerned.  Mama Recho Ameso took over the seat of Woman MP in Kakamega,  Dunia ilikua Bado jinga  nobody understood the ropes of the new monster called devolution.  Mama Recho instead of going back in the newly promulgated constitution to look at her roles in the new dispensation instead went to bed with the County executive.  Mama Recho, instead of seeking empowerment for women and the girl-child plus the less fortunate in society, started thinking thst amassing wealth, drinking expensive drinks plut bottled water was driving the wheel of devolution. Mama Recho, i...

GOVERNOR BARASA AND NABULINDO UNION WILL IT HOLD?

Image
OPINION BY JOEL ESHIKUMO.  KAKAMEGA Governor Fernandes Barasa is a trustworthy individual, well bred, sincere and does not backbite people he disagrees with. What is shared privately remain so.  If he does not agree with you, he will ask you on your face why you are not in tandem with agreements and or decisions commonly taken.  FCPA OGW Fernandes Barasa will keep his promise, he will not tell you yes to mean no or no when he means yes. Within his cysles he listen and reads alot of " fitinas " sent by detractors but that has never made it to his decision-making table.  When I saw Matungu MP Peter Oscar Nabulindo proclaiming loudly at a funeral that he had no problem with Governor Barasa, I went out to look at history since the exit of his predecessors MPs Devid Were and the Late Omurunga.  Quckly the next day, the MP crafted a "CDF team" harpharzadly and appeared at the Governor's home in harambee to, according to media reports, "discus developm...

HOW MPS AND MCAS LOOTED MALAVA POLLS FACILITATION MONEY.

Image
With the Millions, Ndakwa would have won by a land slide.  THE Malava by election dust has settled, Seth Panyako has wiped his tears and Ndakwa the winner and MP-Elect is still savoring his victory. One thing has come out clearly however because the numbers don't lie, most grassroot leaders deployed to campaign for Ndakwa in Malava should be ashamed to loudly celebrate.  This is because as we may agree a win is a win but the Malava margin and the resources that went on the ground in support do not make sense at all at all.    BOOTS ON THE GROUND: Governor Fernandes Barasa and President William Ruto's Aide Farouk Kibet syoom Malava to hunt for Ndakwa's victory. They appear to have been the only persons genuinely out to win.  For instance Lugari MP Nabii Nabwera was given Ksh 6million  on the election day to rally Manda Shivanga and Mugai shirugu wards, he only managed 2,000 votes in each.  The MP Resorted to crying wolf and runni...

BLOGGERS WILL NOT BE INTIMIDATED BY THE NABIIS OF THIS COUNTY.

Image
EARLY this morning, individuals claiming to be acting on behalf of or for Lugari MP Honourable Nabii Nabwera threatened the publishers of  eshikumo2030.blogspot.com .  These individuals called the blog headquarters demanding that the blog stops Forthwith its coverage of the death of Head teacher Simon Isiaho of Munyuki Secondary school in Lugari. The callers with same message threatened untold action against continued coverage of the incident that has seen some bloggers sued by the MP for allegedly linking him to the death. We at  eshikumo2030.blogspot.com  want to say this. If it's true the shadowy individuals are working for Honourable Nabwera then it's very sad and backward.  In this day and age, it is funny that an Honourable member of parliament like Nabii can resort to threats, intimidation and subtafuge to an independent blog like this one without having mentioned him or linked him to the henious incident that has grabbed headlines.  Hono...

LUGARI TEACHER'S DEATH. BLOGGERS NOW THREATENED.

Image
Bishop Alexander Muge died in a suspicious road accident on the Eldoret-Webuye highway in 1990. His death was blamed on state agents who were allegedly trailing him with orders to execute him. The exact spot where the accident occurred was thereafter named Stend Muge, or simply Muge. It lies about 50 kilometres from Eldoret, between Omega (the junction to Lumakanda) and Sinendet (also known as Kwa Njoroge). This spot has returned to the news after the body of a high-school principal, who was reportedly “involved in an accident” at the same spot, was found floating in the waters of River Kipkaren several kilometres away, within the same region. The body bore signs of torture and reportedly had missing fingers. Simon Isiaho, the principal of Munyuki Secondary School in Lugari, had been reported missing on November 3rd. He left home for school but never arrived. Mysteriously, a mangled wreck of his car, the vehicle he had been driving when he left home, was found at Stend Muge...
