KAKAMEGA CHIEF OFFICERS TO BE SACKED.

Kakamega county chief officers are a worried lot after word leaked out that governor Wycliffe Oparanya has secretly been meeting his kitchen cabinet to reshuffle and sack a number of them.
It is imperative to note that at the county, plum positions of executive members are all held by women. Rachael Okumu (agriculture, irrigation , cooperatives , livestock , veterinary services and fisheries), Beatrice Savana ( finance, planning and ICT) and Rodhab Awinja Masaviru ( public service & administration).
The trio is referred to as powerful women sorrounding Oparanya.The only men holding powerful cabinet slots are Kizito Matemba ( health services), and Geoffrey Omulayi ( roads, public works and energy).
Chief officers worried and facing sack include Jeremiah Okello (agriculture). He was close to deputy governor Philip Kutima when acting in the agriculture docket. Kelly Nelima by virtue of her academic papers may survive. However it is said that her boss, Okumu wants her shown the door.
At finance docket, chief officer Lawrence Omuhaka ( planning ), James Ochami ( finance ) and Eugene Milimo ( ICT) future hangs in the balance. CO public service Dominic Muteshi has already told friends Oparanya has promised to retain him.
At health services with two COs, Beatrice Etemesi ( health Services), and Everlyn Mulunji who is linked to mega scandals is bound to face sack and has quit already.
At roads and public works , CO Patrick Likavo ( public works) has of late been seen regularly reading the Bible unlike before perhaps asking
God to intervene. If he survives God would have answered his prayers. Joseph Swea (energy) is now sweating profusely as he waits his fate.
CO housing and urban areas Patrick Lilako is likely to be retained or be moved to a different docket according to our information.At water, environment and natural resources ,CO Joab Maloba and Stansalus Muteshi alias Papa will count themselves lucky if retained.
Job Imbogo who was moved from finance as CO to social services, youth, sports and culture in what many analysts say it was a demotion is already packing his personal effects. If he survives it will be purely accidental. Irene Ashioya is likely to remain CO education, science and technology with trade, industrialization and tourism COs Fanuel Angaya future unpredictable.
