VIDEO: MURUNGA'S WIDOW CURSES UDA'S ALEX LANYA OVER "CONMANSHIP"

CHRISTABEL Omurunga the late Matungu MP's widow last week cursed the UDA candidate for allegedly conning her funeral cash. 

Speaking at her home in Matungu the widow claimed after the funeral, she was conned off close to Ksh 1.2 M by Alex Lanya.

In an emotional address to the media, the widow claimed UDA's candidate Alex Lanya, a contractor by profession had refused to finish the late MP's grave despite pocketing the cash.

"Lanya took money from me to construct my late husband's grave and cement it to date he was in a hurry to replace my husband and he went away" Said a sobbing Christabel.

The widow further claimed Alex was using his son to fight her political activities and taking advantage of his innocence.

"Lanya is sending my son air tickets every week to come and disturb my political plans on the ground, my late husband's spirit will not rest" She said amid sobs.




Mrs Murunga was speaking in Matungu where she said she decided to contest her husband's seat to further his dreams and plans for the people of Matungu and not for selfish monetary gain like Lanya.

Mr. Lanya who is contesting the Parliamentary seat on a UDA ticket has been fingered over several claims of monetary indiscipline from the failed construction of a ginerry in Busia County to the poor works at Wananchi police station. 

Mr. Murunga, contesting as an independent candidate, said she will pursue the contractor and that she will involve  CID officers.

GUARDS INJURED AS ELSIE RUNS OUT OF CASH AT FUNERAL.

A   FUNERAL  in Butere has left three body guards of Kakamega Women Representative Elsie Muhanda hospitalised after youths demanded for money at the occasion. Drama ensued when Muhanda, currently eyeing to be Governor promised money to mourners at a funeral in Mulambo area of Butere Sub County. In her short speech to mourners, Hon Muhanda had assured mourners that she had money and she could use the same in her Guberbatorial bid and that they should not worry. After her speech she told mourners to line up for a token in which she started dishing out Ksh 50 per person present.  Excited women and youths who were at the occasion started chanting songs in her praise as Woman Representative as they gyrated to  isukuti .  SAFETY : Honourable Elsie Muhanda being whisked to safety in Butere when she ran out of cash at a funeral.  Soon after her speech, hell broke loose the local MP Tindi Mwale who had taken off earlier was not present to defend The Woman representative

MUMIAS LEVEL 4 HOSPITAL: SABOTAGE OR INCOMPETENCE?

LAST week we got an e-mail from a whistle blower at Mumias Level4 hospital narrating on goings there. From the mail, it appears there is a deliberate effort aither thru ommission or commission by those charged with daily running the institution to bring it down.  Those entrusted by the County Government see that the institution lives to its name of LEVEL FOUR appear to be determined to pull it apart. Locals have failed to get services from the institution dispite the county investing in its well being in terms of drugs and Budget. As a responsible media, we set out to get a comment from those mentioned in the ongoing at the institution.
