ANOTHER LESSON AWAITS YOU. MATUNGU ELDERS WARN OPARANYA OVER PETITION TALK.

WITH threats of moving to court over the Matungu by election, ODM Deputy party Leader Governor Whycliffe Oparanya has stirred a bee hive.

Leaders drawn from across Matungu have said they will defend MP Honourable Peter Oscar Nabulindo and promised to reject all candidates supported by the governor on ODM in subsequent elections.

Speaking at a quickly convened press conference at Bulimbo catholic grounds, the elders drawn from the populous Abashitsetse, abakolwe and Abamutiru sub clans vowed to teach Governor Oparanya "another political lesson"

"We have listened keenly to threats by ODM party and by extention Governor Oparanya that they have a plot to challange the win of our MP, we are not afraid, we will wait for him to make good his threat because we are ready" Said Rafael Osundwa.

"Oparanya appears not tired of wanting to impose an MP on us, we rejected David Were who was his project and he is still determined, let him come on". Said Osundwa.

Elder Osundwa claimed Governor Oparanya had also hatched a plot to harass, intimidate and threaten youth suspected to have guarded ANC votes saying such moved will serve no good purpose.

"We spoke so clearly at the election and elected our MP of choice but if Oparanya or ODM are bent on subverting the will of the people, we will not allow anything on ODM ticket in this Constituency in 2022, we will reject all candidates who we suspect will have ODM or Oparanya blessings " Said Osundwa.

Speaking at the same meeting, Elder Patrick Wechuli said Governor Oparanya was looking for an excuse to cover up for his expenditure of county funds.
" We have information that the Governor is not able to account for millions from ODM or the county, spent in facilitating activities in the March 4th mini poll, we are waiting for him, we have nothing to loose if Oparanya chooses that direction" he said.

Last week, ODM Secretary General Edwin SIFUNA hinted that the party was in the process of collecting information and could move to court to try and overturn the election of MP Peter Nabulindo who beat ODM's David Were to 14,000 votes against 10,000.

At the same meeting where the petition was discussed, Contractors who contributed money to fund the ODM candidate demanded for an explanation from "Friends of Oparanya" an amorphous groupping on what went wrong.

County CECs led by Roads Geoffrey Omulayi are today at pains to explain or account for millions drawn from the account coffers during the elections.

Eshikumo2030 is in procession of information that Governor Oparanya and his team sunk almost Ksh. 300m in the failed poll. ENDS
