MISTAKES THAT ODM PARTY MADE IN MATUNGU CAMPAIGN WHICH COST US THE ELECTION OF OUR CANDIDATE.

✍ After endorsing Hon David Were as the party's flag bearer for Matungu by election the national officials never bothered to make sure that his candidature was owned by the party members and officials starting with the County Cordinatng Committee, Branch committee of Matungu, sub branch committees of Khalaba, Namamali, Koyonyo, Kholera and Mayoni and the officials and members at the polling stations.

✍ ODM formed a Matungu campaign committee led by Governor Oparanya and County Woman MP Elsie Muhanda and their aides or proxies with the assistance of the county administrative structure led by Matungu subcounty administrator in total disregard of the county, branch, subbranch and polling stations officials and members of ODM Matungu. There are widespread complaints on the grassroots of Matungu that the Subcounty Administrator for Matungu used her daughter and son in law in campaigning for Were instead of party members who ofcourse she did not know because she is not a party official. There is also widespread complaints on the grassroots of Matungu that one Moffat Mandela who is a youth advisor to the Governor and ODM youth leader for Kakamega never mobilised party youths in Matungu to protect Were's vote on election day despite having been mandated to do so.

✍ Going to the election without Voter Protection Unit led by grassroots ODM military wing- Youth League and Women League members across all polling stations of Matungu which provided an opportunity for imported ANC goons in collusion with security forces to cause mayhem in the strongholds of our candidate's David Were scaring away voters besides  intimidating IEBC officials.

CONCLUSION 

All politics is local and ignoring the party structure, officials and members to the grassroots is SUICIDAL in an election campaign. Party support for purposes of winning an election is about strong and loyal membership but not government bureaucrats and proxies or sycophants of political leaders.

Next time we must respect the party structure and membership in election campaigns.

GUARDS INJURED AS ELSIE RUNS OUT OF CASH AT FUNERAL.

A   FUNERAL  in Butere has left three body guards of Kakamega Women Representative Elsie Muhanda hospitalised after youths demanded for money at the occasion. Drama ensued when Muhanda, currently eyeing to be Governor promised money to mourners at a funeral in Mulambo area of Butere Sub County. In her short speech to mourners, Hon Muhanda had assured mourners that she had money and she could use the same in her Guberbatorial bid and that they should not worry. After her speech she told mourners to line up for a token in which she started dishing out Ksh 50 per person present.  Excited women and youths who were at the occasion started chanting songs in her praise as Woman Representative as they gyrated to  isukuti .  SAFETY : Honourable Elsie Muhanda being whisked to safety in Butere when she ran out of cash at a funeral.  Soon after her speech, hell broke loose the local MP Tindi Mwale who had taken off earlier was not present to defend The Woman representative

MUMIAS LEVEL 4 HOSPITAL: SABOTAGE OR INCOMPETENCE?

LAST week we got an e-mail from a whistle blower at Mumias Level4 hospital narrating on goings there. From the mail, it appears there is a deliberate effort aither thru ommission or commission by those charged with daily running the institution to bring it down.  Those entrusted by the County Government see that the institution lives to its name of LEVEL FOUR appear to be determined to pull it apart. Locals have failed to get services from the institution dispite the county investing in its well being in terms of drugs and Budget. As a responsible media, we set out to get a comment from those mentioned in the ongoing at the institution.
