VIDEO:BUTERE MP DISMISES OPARANYA AS A COMPLETE LET DOWN.
Story By Joel Eshikumo.
KAKAMEGA Governor Whycliffe Oparanya last week bowed his head in shame as he was dressed down by his own Butere MP Tindi Mwale.
The two had met at the funeral of wife to Kakamega County CEC My Matianyi in Butere Constituency.
In his no holds-barred address to the two term Governor, Hon Tindi took Oparanya to task on his "failed and empty promised to the people of Butere".
The MP questioned why Oparanya had ignored ECD centers in Lunza area where children were learning under trees.
"it is a shame and this I say respectfully that you promised these women tapped water in their backyards, they are still waiting" He said amid cheers.
Early this year Governor Oparanya launched Amathsi khu mukuru at Butere Youth Polytechnic a water project that was supposed to operate in Butere, already Ksh 200 Million was spent and to date not a single pile was layed.
Honorable Tindi who appeared composed dared Oparanya to make good his threat to contest the Butere seat in 2022. "I heard you say you wanted to contest as MP in Butere you are welcome I will teach you a lasting lesson in 2922, you will find me here.
The MP who is on record bragging to constituents how he was set to deputize Lugari MP Ayub Savula who is seeking to be Kakamega Governor, appeared to go back on his threats when he said he would defend his seat.
The MP also took issue with Former Aspirant Habel Nanjendo who he accused of misleading the governor on matters in Butere and visiting his Kakamega office to "just take tea"
On party matters the MP said ANC's leader Musalia Mudavadi was best suited to lead the country in 2022 and that the party had launched a charm offensive across the country.
When Oparanya stood to address, he compleetly avoided answering Tindi Mwale after he realized that a section of those present were hostile and were in full agreement with Honourable Tindi that Oparanya had failed Butere terribly.
Others at the funeral included Former Marama Central MCA Michael Keya and a host of MCA Aspirants across the four wards in Butere.
