HAVE KABRAS BEEN SHORT-CHANGED AGAIN IN BARASA'S LINEUP.

On January 9th 2022, we saw a warning message send by Team Barasa's Head Of Campaign Secretariat Mr Edward Omung'ala to John Imbogo. Was this a telling sign that things have since changed?

I am informed that you met with some of our Directors from the Northern region.

This is a great and positive gesture and we appreciate.

However as the Head of Secretariat I was not informed of such a meeting which is technical and administrative in nature.

Our Team Leader Fernandes Barasa upholds structures and systems and puts a lot of premium on them. Such encourages team work, removes doubts and promotes harmony.

We have an existing Secretariat and at the Constituency levels, we have Constituency Coordinators. Meeting without the knowledge of these two is not a good indicator and might le,ad to fears, doubts and rifts in what has been one cohesive team.

If we go by what happened on Saturday at Bukhungu on one John Imbogo then it was all hot air about Kabras.

Am aware my close friend John Imbogo was at Bukhungu on Saturday. Though he was not even seated in front row VIP but he pensively sat on the 3rd row behind VIP. I can't really know what was crossing his mind but your guess is as good as mine.

And so were others like Dr Connie Lusweti who also supplied drinking water at the stadium. 

Dr Sylvester Anami also was present with Isukuti mbwembwes. All the above are Deputy Governor hopefuls to Barasa. But from airwaves that have been going around for some time now it was John Imbogo was was tallest among the dwarfs. People ( Kabras) thought it was a done deal.

Some of those hopefuls have even have resigned from their Public service jobs. 

John Imbogo and his team were informed to arrive at Barasa's home 11 am. While the other teams on Mr Maina had been invited to be there at 8am.

On the motorcade to Kakamega from Matungu Imbogo car was blocked by Security team car to allow Maina to follow Barasa.

Connie Lusweti also got dissappointed and had to dissappear from Barasa's home. She was next seen around Jamindas then made a technical appearance at Bukhungu. After lobbying she was invited to speak among women business owners!

For Imbogo, even his Malava Constituency was not mentioned when others were being introduced.

Sylvester Anami left in a huff with his Isukuti dancers. 

But all these fellows had been made to spend and bring people. 

Connie brought 300 people and bought water, Anami brought 500 people and Isukuti plus Banners.

Imbogo had to pay for 12 ODM Subcounties buses and some allowances to select groups.

Surprisingly and interestingly Imbogo was asked to pool his cash in a central account. He had no control on how it will be used.

But there was one Samia man Mr Innocent  Maina Mukabe from Likuyani who carried the show as Barasa's runningmate. He was literally everything in that function, from picking Barasa at home, waving to people from same Car Sunroof right from Barasa's home, through Mumias Town, Kakamega then stadium entry. He hired over 15 buses,  transported people and paid them. He  spoke first and introduced Barasa to people at Bukhungu. He sat right next to Barasa at the Stadium and VVIP table during lunch time at Golf Club.

My friend Imbogo could not even eat lunch. He fizzled out at the Stadium before the event ended.

People are not blind, they have seen Imbogo campaign for Barasa and even in some incidents he be chased or shouted down as he struggles to make his point.

To my friend Imbogo, look for one Major Suleman Sumba former CEC Kakamega County and  and ask him what late Soita Shitanda did to him when he had been earmarked to be his runningmate in 2013. Wamatsi surfaced on the day of presenting papers to IEBC at Kakamega high school.
