The verdict is out, office of the county MP (Women Rep.) Kakamega has been rated on the following projects spread across the entire county. 

An independent audit by stakeholders in various sectors came up with the report that sampled several of the public funded projects. Below is the score card.
Issuence of a cheque to youth groups in Mumias constituency.



 WATER (60 WARDS BOREHOLES)

1. Boreholes program; To curb water scarcity and produce clean water in the County. 

2. Installation of water tanks in schools. For adequate facility to harvest rainwater in schools. 

FOOD SECURITY (AGRICULTURE)
 
1. Fertilizer & seeds program.  The program was started to increase food production and curb hunger, it targets the less fortunate families. 
 
EDUCATION SECTOR
 
1. Eagle to Fly program Its Program to save bright students from poor families who couldn't make it to high schools.

2. Tumaini program (Back to school) It's a program that gives young mothers a second chance back to school. 

3.University program. Successfully students who attain university entries from the above two program proceeds to university level.
 
4. Vocational Training. Helps students who didn't secure university entries to join various vacation colleges.  


BUSINESS COMMUNITY (JUA KALI)
 
1.Market Umbrellas Program. It started to shield jua kali traders from direct sunshine. 

GROUPS DEPARTMENT 

1.Value addition Program. Its main aim is to put developed groups to a higher level in terms of projects 

2. Panda Mbegu Program The aim is to boost young groups across over the county 
3. Tents Program. Introduced as income generating project for groups.
4. Catering Units A boost for groups doing catering projects. 
5. Car wash program Created as income source for youth groups. 

TRANSPORT SECTOR

1.Driving School Training vehicle drivers and Boda Boda Riders. It started to reduce motorcycles related accident that are on high rise. 
2.Boda boda Shed. Meant to shield bodas and their passengers

HOUSING 
1. Shelter improvement a program started to provide better shelter unit for vulnerable families in poor the community. 

PLWD
1.Wheelchair & Crutches Program Unveiled to provide support for the disabled people in poor families.

SECURITY 
Hon Elsie Muhanda after distributing Sanitary towels to school girls in Khwisero

1. High mast -Installation of 30metres tall lights in several markets to improve security and ignite   24hrs economy. Second face up coming.
 
2.Streetlights To offer full-time security
 
3.Transformer To supply electricity in villages. (Rural electrification)

SACCO AND COOPERATIVES
1. Kacoma Sacco -Kakamega County Maendeleo Sacco

With these projects, Kakamega Woman Representative Elsie Muhanda's score card as Woman MP has continued to flourish as every part of the county has had a share of the county cake.

GUARDS INJURED AS ELSIE RUNS OUT OF CASH AT FUNERAL.

A   FUNERAL  in Butere has left three body guards of Kakamega Women Representative Elsie Muhanda hospitalised after youths demanded for money at the occasion. Drama ensued when Muhanda, currently eyeing to be Governor promised money to mourners at a funeral in Mulambo area of Butere Sub County. In her short speech to mourners, Hon Muhanda had assured mourners that she had money and she could use the same in her Guberbatorial bid and that they should not worry. After her speech she told mourners to line up for a token in which she started dishing out Ksh 50 per person present.  Excited women and youths who were at the occasion started chanting songs in her praise as Woman Representative as they gyrated to  isukuti .  SAFETY : Honourable Elsie Muhanda being whisked to safety in Butere when she ran out of cash at a funeral.  Soon after her speech, hell broke loose the local MP Tindi Mwale who had taken off earlier was not present to defend The Woman representative

MUMIAS LEVEL 4 HOSPITAL: SABOTAGE OR INCOMPETENCE?

LAST week we got an e-mail from a whistle blower at Mumias Level4 hospital narrating on goings there. From the mail, it appears there is a deliberate effort aither thru ommission or commission by those charged with daily running the institution to bring it down.  Those entrusted by the County Government see that the institution lives to its name of LEVEL FOUR appear to be determined to pull it apart. Locals have failed to get services from the institution dispite the county investing in its well being in terms of drugs and Budget. As a responsible media, we set out to get a comment from those mentioned in the ongoing at the institution.
