Image

Speaking after hearing views and opinions from those present, the Governor, according to an insider said he was so far happy that the expected resistance on him in Butere had not been witnesed. "Iam happy, all the time I have come to Butere you people have welcomed me warmly a sign that you have fully embraced this administration" He said. According to our sources, the Governor promised to include more people from the area in his government and urged local leaders to stop what he termed as useless fights.  "Mine is an Equal employer government, I have deliberately included my pre-election critics because we nerd to build numbers without branding people or judging what they did or did not do to us in campaigns" He said. BUTERE LEADERS TO OSOTHSI: YOU ARE AM EMPTY VESSEL.

Leaders defend ODM Chairman Governor Fernandes Barasa over attacks. BUTERE LEADERS have dismissed ODM Deputy Party Leader Godfrey Osothsi's last weekend attacks on Kakamega Governor. Speaking at Sabatia market when Governor Barasa opened an ODM office, local officials and MCAs called out the DPL as bad-hearted and full of  Imbotokha. Led by the ODM Chairman former Councilor George Omulama, the leaders said they had had enough dictatorship on matters the party and would take no more. " People are calling us to avoid the opening of offices by the governor but we are tired, we have suffered for long we now say enough is enough" He said amidst loud cheers. In apparent reference to Kakamega Woman Representative Elsie Muhanda and other officials, the former Councilor dismissed as hot air threats by Osothsi and other officials to punish Governor Barasa for unknown crimes against ODM.  "Governor Barasa is fast becoming an asset to the party unlike peo

OPARANYA TO ELSIE: YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN.

EX Kakamega Governor Whyclife Oparanya last evening threw the local woman Rep Elsie Muhanda under the bus over her bid to be governor. Speaking at Emauko Primary during the funeral service of County Secretary Omuhaka's elder brother, Oparanya, today, SMEMS Cabinet Minister said he could no longer take on baggage. "I have consulted and have been told to exit Kakamega politics and focus on national affairs because each leader must be given time to deliver on their pledges" He said amid wild cheers.  The Minister said it was time to end parochialism and politics of divisiveness because leaders must be given time to deliver as elections are far away and that voters need services not just words.  In an apparent reference to his perceived darling to Hon Elsie Muhanda who thinks she can be Governor, Oparanya stood with Governor Barasa as he said leaders needed time to deliver on their promises and that for a Governor, two years was just for planning.  "Someone n

NEW CABINET: ALL EYES ON GOVERNOR BARASA AS CONTRACTS ELAPSE.

Opinion By James Keya "Let him get politicians into cabinet to blend delivery and politics of development "  Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa will soon unvail a new cabinet line up that could pick up the mantle from the dream team he picked after taking power whose contract has expired.  The new team, according to insiders and unlike the current CECMs and COs most who are teachers, could consist of politicians because the Governor has now boldened enough to run his course.  The outgoing cabinet apart from a handful of Chief Officers and one or two Ministers has consisted of lukewarm individuals who looked like they were gambling not sure about their roles.  DOWN MEMORY : How this blog covered the unveiling of the outgoing cabinet a year ago.  The matter of unawareness creeped into the cabinet  just one year ago with some individuals resorting to hire online mouths to shout accolades and praises to them in a bid to outshine their masters.  Executive w

ABOLISHING CDF: WHO WANTS TO BE MP WITHOUT THE MONEY?

Image
Opinion 𝐁𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐬 𝐖𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐞  Following a recent ruling by a three-judge bench declaring the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) unconstitutional, widespread concerns have arisen regarding the future of the fund, which is scheduled to cease operations by June 30, 2026. The court ruled that the NG-CDF violates the principle of separation of powers, as the management of development funds by MPs directly infringes on the mandate of the executive. For over two decades, the CDF has played a critical role in shaping development at the constituency level. Some good MPs have used the fund to drive infrastructural improvements, build schools, health centers, and roads, and provide bursaries to needy students, particularly in marginalized regions. This has made the CDF’s contributions to grassroots development undeniable, as it allowed more direct and localized development compared to relying solely on the central government. However, the fund has no

ASSEMBLY: GOVERNOR BARASA MUST SAY NO TO ODM BULLIES.

OPINION By James Kwoma.  The alleged changes at the Kakamega County Assembly by the ODM Party’s Central Committee are surprising, as the party's constitution provides no provision for the committee to enact such changes.  However, they cease to be surprising when viewed as wishful thoughts of Sifuna and his group of anarchists, whose primary aim is to frustrate Governor Barasa's standing within the party and divert attention from his sights on Service Delivery, with the hope that their Anti-development Elsie Muhanda can fool her way to the Governor's office.  First and foremost, Governor Fernandes Barasa is the head of the Executive arm of the Kakamega County Government, of which the County Assembly is party of. However, as outlined in Chapter 11 of the 2010 Constitution—something we expect Sifuna, as a lawyer, to understand—the County Assembly operates independently of the Executive. No reasonable Kenyan, especially a Kenya School of Law graduate, can hold the

KMTC BUTERE LEADERS HAIL GOVERNOR BARASA.

FORMER  Cabinet Minister Professor Fredrick Amukowa Anangwe has hailed Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa's commitment to get a Medical college in Butere. Speaking to  eshikumo2030.blogspot.com , Prof Anangwe said since the advent of devolution, Butere was yet to get meaningful development. "Actually, the Governor is bold and focused in getting a KMTC here, this is something comendable and we are fully behind him and will engage the Minustry at the National level to compliment his efforts" He said. Anangwe who served as Butere MP long before devolution said past regimes at county level had their priotities wrong because the lager population in Butere was fooled to believe their job was to clap for and praise leaders. "I actually think we were overated in as far as devolution and development is concerned because even the devolved funds holders turned to demi gods demonizing those who they thought could not follow blindly" He said. WE MUST SALUTE NYS MEMBERS IN CYSWEP.

Image
For some of you civilians (raias), when you look at a NYS Pass out parade, you will see academic dwarfs, financially unfortunate Gen Zs who could not afford university fees and youths who had a near miss from joining Mathare Rehab centre or approved schools. Some of you will see low IQ youths who are only good at slapping spades and counting one two three, one. For me, I see a perfectly united and coordinated unit of soldiers who have endured it all. I see a result of discipline, sacrifice and dedication to a single course-togetherness. To graduate from such a parade, it takes heart-wrenching sleeplessness, physical and mental torture and forced discipline. The uniformity that is achieved by those boys and girls is not by mere singing and clapping, it takes entire mental overhaul to bring them to where they have reached. NYS - TRAINED AND HARDENED. B-PLUS TEAM: Sports CECM Morphat Mandela (In red Tie) after an impromptu meeting with selected coordinators. KAKAMEGA  County CECM for Sports, Culture, Youth and Women Empowerment Morphat Mandela says he is happy with the  Mashinani  Program. Speaking at an impromptu meeting with a section of coordinators at his Bukhungu Office, Hon Mandela remained upbeat that the County Youth Service and Women empowerment Program-CYSWEP, was meeting its intended purpose. "Largely, the program is on the road to success thanks to a grassroot network that has seen families of those working benefit from the earnings" He said. Kazi   Mashinani  as popularly known, sees youth women and men work for five hours in various jobs as allocated by supervisors and coordinated to earn a monthly stipend. Thru this Program, the Service Men and women also have a chance to accuire technical skills free in county polytechnics across the sixty wards. EMPOWERMENT : Service Men and women u

GUV BARASA "PROMOTES" COORDINATORS TO TOP COUNTY ORGAN.

KAKAMEGA GOVERNOR Fernandes Barasa early this week promoted all his  Mashinani  Coordinators to sit in service Delivery meetings as members. At a closed door meeting in his Kakamega Office, the county boss ordered the County secretary Dr. Laurence Omuhaka who was present to "make sure" the Coordinators are fully involved. "I have noted that we have a missing link. Because as grassroot workers , you must be equipped with every project the county is undertaking or PLANNING to do as to be able to coordinate or disseminate the information" He said. KAKAMEGA GOVERNOR ROASTS "REBEL" MCAS

Image
KAKAMEGA Governor Fernandes Barasa over the weekend roasted a section of County Assembly members who he discribed as "wayward" and "rebellious".  Speaking in Butere when he officially released County Bursery cheque's to over 21 school heads from three wards, the county boss openly took issue with leaders.  Explaining why the release of the monew was delayed, the Governor said most of those cheque's were written long ago and had been laying at his office without being picked.  "These cheque's were written in May but some of your MCAs have different interests and have not picked them forcing my office to bring them to you " He said a mid cheers.  For instance, a cheque for Elite Girls Secondary school in Marama West ward was dated 1st of May and had not been collected for the school for three months.  Answering his critics, Governor Barasa took a swipe at inaction by some MCAs saying their interest was to open battle fronts in the ass

SHARKS INVADE SINAGA GIRLS IN SIAYA AS PARENTS CRY TO MACHOGU

Image
RETIRING Principal of little-known Sinaga Girls Secondary school in Siaya County Madam Pauline Kowidi, has hatched a plot meant to fleece parents. Kowidi under the cover of the local ACK Bishop and an unscrupulous team within her board is forcing parents to buy her land as a retirement present.  Documents seen by this blog show that the Principal, well past menapouse and set to retire this term has been deduction Ksh 2,000 from each student fir the said land.  She has also sent students home over the land money claiming it was fees balances when in real sense most parents have cleared fees.  Speaking on phone separately, three parents who did not want to be named claimed the thieving plot is being clapped for by known crooks planted on the board by the principal, her deputy, the Burser and the local Bishop.  Early Last year, parents contributed money for building of new classes but the crooked principal and her board only renovated and painted the existing classes.  "S

WHY ELSIE MUHANDA IS DISTURBED AND DEPRESSED.

WHAT was foolishly expected to be an easy ride to Governorship by Kakamega Woman Representative Elsie Muhanda is turning out as an impossible task. Time is not running as fast as the WR and her backers thought it will, money is not flowing in from roads contracts she undertakes as expected. Her camp is honeycombed with no secrets, exits, back biting, backstabbing less-informed online yellers (those aren't bloggers) who don't discuss or generate ideas but focus on silly insults and an impatient inner circle. After she made up her mind to contest as Governor, Elsie Muhanda crafted a team she was not farmilier with, she promised most elected leaders heaven, cash donations and largesee.  Governor Fernandes Barasa is firmly in tune with his government something giving erstwhile opponents headache. Photo courtesy GPU The old lady is at a crossroads today, the future is uncertain, the past is already occupied she has crossed the rubbicom with nothing to show to
