Prime Cabinet Secretary H.E Dr @MusaliaMudavadi E.G.H unavailing a plaque to officially launch the Jitume Digital lab at the Kakamega Polytechnic.

The Jitume lab will provide digital skilling to the youth enabling them to engage in gainful employment and income generation

At the occation Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa said his his government is enhancing the digital learning environment across all 68 county Polytechnics to ensure that youth have access to modern education and skills development opportunities.

This initiative is part of our broader commitment to empowering the next generation with the tools they need to succeed in a rapidly evolving job market. 

By integrating advanced digital technologies, we aim to equip students with industry-relevant skills, promote innovation, and prepare them for global competitiveness. 

This expansion will also ensure that young people in every corner of the county can benefit from quality education, regardless of geographical barriers.
The launch of the St. Paul's Shianda County Polytechnic Konza Digital Skills Laboratory is currently underway. This transformative initiative aims to equip students with cutting-edge digital skills, aligning with Kenya's vision for a digitally empowered society. The event is being officiated by Dr. Margaret Nyambura Ndung’u, the Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy.

The facility is part of the national government's agenda to bridge the digital divide, foster innovation, and create opportunities for youth in the rapidly evolving digital economy. Local leaders, education stakeholders, and community members are also in attendance, underscoring the collaborative effort to advance digital literacy and economic empowerment in Kakamega County.
