FOR long now, Early pregnancy amongst school-going girls had been sneered upon by the present society.

The emergence of teen mothers has also threatened generations as the resultant off springs bear the brunt of alleged "transgrations by the mother before the right time"

Children born by these mothers become malnourished, because they have to be left under care givers as the mother pursues Education or pursues a job.

It is untill the Janet Barasa Kasilly Foundation cane on board that there is now a shoulder to lean on and wipe their tears. 

The organization by Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa's spouse has for two years now stood up against among others stigmatization of the mothers and Gender-based violence.

This week, the organization is set to hold its annual meeting to follow up on the development of teen mothers, their skills, knowledge and well being plus their children.
Established in 2022, The Janet Barasa Kasilly Foundation has stamped its authority and added its voice on among others cancer screening, HIV and AIDs, teen motherhood, malnutrition, vaccination, family planning and even vasectomy.

GUARDS INJURED AS ELSIE RUNS OUT OF CASH AT FUNERAL.

A   FUNERAL  in Butere has left three body guards of Kakamega Women Representative Elsie Muhanda hospitalised after youths demanded for money at the occasion. Drama ensued when Muhanda, currently eyeing to be Governor promised money to mourners at a funeral in Mulambo area of Butere Sub County. In her short speech to mourners, Hon Muhanda had assured mourners that she had money and she could use the same in her Guberbatorial bid and that they should not worry.
