KAKAMEGA County CECM for Sports, Culture, Youth and Women Empowerment Morphat Mandela says he is happy with the Mashinani Program.
Speaking at an impromptu meeting with a section of coordinators at his Bukhungu Office, Hon Mandela remained upbeat that the County Youth Service and Women empowerment Program-CYSWEP, was meeting its intended purpose.
"Largely, the program is on the road to success thanks to a grassroot network that has seen families of those working benefit from the earnings" He said.
Kazi Mashinani as popularly known, sees youth women and men work for five hours in various jobs as allocated by supervisors and coordinated to earn a monthly stipend.
Thru this Program, the Service Men and women also have a chance to accuire technical skills free in county polytechnics across the sixty wards.

Honourable Mandela also said he was happy that thru stradfast coodination and struct supervision, efficiency had overshadowed political interference.
Previously there was alot of noise but as the program picked up speed, focus has now shifted on the real intention of HE Governor Fernandes Barasa to tge beneficieries.
He said although CYSWEP was still having challenges, its coordinators, most of them from diverse backgrounds, to help nature the immediate leadership to success.
The CECM, rated as a top performer promised to immediately address matters arising within the Program ranging from replacement and welfare. He said Governor Fernandes Barasa was keen on the success of the Program.
