TAIFA CARE CHECK: KAKAMEGA MINISTER IN MANYALA HOSPITAL.
KAKAMEGA county Heath CECM CPA Livingston Imbai today made an impromptu visit to Manyala hospital in Butere.
The visit, part of a wide range of spot checks was meant to understand the Goverment degitization of patient history meant to increase efficiency and to gauge the supply of essential drugs to rural Health facilities.

The Minister, accompanied by Public Health Chief Officer Rose Muhanda, Director Medical Services Dr. Stephen Wandei and Butere MOH Dr. Patrick Songa took time off from the works at the Giant Butere level 4 hospital that is set to be launched next week to sample services in local health centers.

Speaking after he was taken thru the degitization process by Miriam Kulubi Clinical officer CPA Imbai said the initiative was a game-changer in the health management systems as it will reduce paper work. And enhance efficiency.
Manyala Hospital is a pioneer institution where TAIFA Care is being implemented and it's benefits are being felt on the ground and the history of patients is kept.
"According to Governor Fernandes Barasa, Health is very close to his heart and that is why the county should embrace the health systems" He said.
Later, the entourage toured the facility's drug store where essential drugs have been received in the last allocation and according to locals the story of lack of drugs is now a thing of the past.
The team had spent the bigger part of the morning at Butere County Hospital where final touches were being done in preparation of official launch next Friday by President William Ruto.
