WHY IS KESSHA STEALING FROM PARENTS?
WHAT MAKES EDUCATION IN KENYA SO EXPENSIVE? GOVT ALLOWING PROFITEERS AND CARTELS TO OPERATE. CASE STUDY. KESSHA
By Amunga Akhanyalabandu
The problem with our govt is that it has left education in the hands of cartels and profiteers. One such group is KESSHA. There is no vote head in our schools called Heads Association. But because of corruption, such organisations that are private in nature are minting millions from parents.
*KENYA SECONDARY SCHOOLS HEADS ASSOCIATION is a private club that is able (with blessings of MOE) to direct BOARDS OF SCHOOLS TO REMIT PUBLIC FUNDS AMOUNTING TO HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF SHILLINGS to their private accounts, in the name of taking those principals to luxurious holidays in Mombasa, Dubai, South Africa etc. A good govt will question, why parents should pay for luxury trips when they can barely afford school fees?*
Early this year. KESSHA COLLECTED FROM SCHOOLS 1.3 BILLION SHILLINGS. There is no law that anchors KESSHA TO DO THIS. It is therefore done clandestinely. MOE and TSC top officers are in cahoots with KESSHA to rob AND LAUNDER MONEY FROM SCHOOLS. Most of that money ends up in hands of cartels and profiteers.
