THESE CROOKS MUST LET KAKAMEGA CECs WORK.
KAKAMEGA County Ministers as picked by Governor Fernandes Barasa are the fulcrum on which the wheels of election pledges rotate.
Of recent, there appears calculated moves by groups or crooked individuals who are out to antergonize the CECMs to deliberately divert their attention.
Such vile attempts have been cited in the Ministries of Health and Agriculture where profiteering ternderprenure groups that have been scattered from their comfort zones feel displaced.
In the Ministry of Health, ragtag individuals bragging how they had long sold government drugs in Public facilities and made millions now want to cripple operations after their networks and arrangements were scattered.
Geoffrey Owuor the Education CEC taking oath of office.
Since this government was set up and a cabinet modeled along side Governor Fernandes Barasa's Usawa na Maendeleo, there appears to be hope for the cabinet to be independent thinkers and doers.
Unlike at the past where, CECs were rubber Stamps and mere lap dogs, Governor Fernandes Barasa's Government looks like it has given them a free hand to run policy matters and help deliver.
Barely six or seven months in office, a section of CECs are coming under undue criticism, name calling and threats from crooks some who brag to have the Governor's ear.
Such shenanigans have been cited in Agriculture Ministry being led by Hon Benjamin Andama, Health under Benard Wesonga and Education under Geoffrey Owuor.
In the health Ministry, after taking over, the CEC and his Deputy Dr. Alila took to dismantling drug stealing cartels that were a burden to the tax payers.
The profiteers have taken on a smeer campaighn against the government workers, led by a lady Mrs. Gloria, the phoney contractors who have long sold air to the county Under Oparanya and walked home with millions.
It's however encouraging that the cartels have failed to agree on their assault and most are closing shop after top health officials stood their ground.
In Agriculture, Benjamin Andama is also a victim of such goons- for- hire who thought they could benefit from the farm inputs distrubuted to farmers when he stood firm against advances, the cheap mouths took to disparaging the Ministry with innuendo cant and threats.
In Education, Normal transfers of ECDE teachers was almost politicized by individuals who thought they could pull strings and resist movement, the CEC, an educationist, stood firm.
CECs should be left to work or fail at their own volition not to be directed by mostly semi illiterate groupies who want to take advantage of situations.
Governor Fernandes Barasa must also come out openly to defend his team from backward assault of self-seekers who want to appear to wield power.
The governor must stand firm and call to order some of his advisers and "associates" to desist from giving order or seem to order around his CECs because he is the sole appointing authority.
The CECs on their part must resist and report threats from ragtag individuals along their lines of duty.
ENDS.
