KAKAMEGA BANK TO AUCTION ASSEMBLY AS KSH 91M DISAPPEARS
KAKAMEGA County Assembly is staring at an auction harmer from Family Bank over a Ksh 40M loan that has been accruing interest by the day.
The loan taken when the suspended Clerk Mr. Simwa was still in office, can however not be accounted for as it could have been shared amongst cartels who have ring-fenced the Speaker.
Yesterday Governor Fernandes Barasa held a meeting with angry MCAs who went to his office demanding to know why he had not released money to the Assembly for operations and or allowances.
The over 40 MCAs had to wait for the Governor from 9am to 4pm and held a long meeting that took the bigger part of the evening. A source in the meeting told eshikumo2030.blogspot.com that Governor Barasa cleared his name saying he did not owe the Assembly a coin as all the money has been released.
The source said there has been simmering tensions between the Assembly and the Executive over allocations and tabling previous reports for action.
Our source in the meeting disclosed that the Governor unequivocally told the MCAs to "go and deal with the Assembly leadership".
Another source told us that MCAs complained about the Assembly being captured by cartels and evil forces amongst them MCAs who retained their seats and the Speaker who is "playing in the evil league"
Eshikumo2030.blogspot.com is in possession the Executive investigative report on the workings of the assembly and the alleged loose of millions in shadowy deals.
It is claimed Speaker James Wanzala Namathsi has refused to have the report tabled in the Assembly for recommendations because most of those mentioned in the blatant theft are today officials in the Assembly including the majority leader. "Speaker Namathsi has vowed not to allow the report showing how the Assembly was looted to be tabled in the Assembly and we suspect there are attempts to adulterate the report" Said our source.
During the inaugural opening of the Assembly, Governor Barasa said in his speech that the report should be tabled in the house for accounterbility's sake and that MCAs should recommend action.
At the same time the Assembly board is unable to account for Ksh 91M released from executive as MCAs have not been paid allowances as they go in the field.
Sources said despite the money being release, sections of second-term MCAs surrounding the speaker and forming his inner Circle are holding him at ransom threatening to expose his wayward ways financially and socially.
During yesterday's meeting, MCAs concluded that there are forces in the Assembly who want to falsely rally The house to shot down motions by the executive on the pretext that the Governor was withholding their money.
A source at Family Bank said the institution had written several letters to the Assembly including invitations to come and see how the loan could be off set but there has so far been no commitment and communication.
