ACADEMICS. HOW BOARD FIXED BARASAVULA.
THE Outgoing Kakamega Public Service Board is on mission to fix Governor Fernandes Barasa in terms of Employment.
The deliberate leakage of a letter dated 31st March 2023 requesting for employment details of five officers employed by the same board barely six months ago, flies in the CPSB's face.
CPSB, as a gate keeper, is charged with advertisement, scrutiny, interview, shortlisting and Interview of potential employees in the Government.
For the gate keeper to turn up and request for 'Employment Details' from the Clerk of the Assembly there is much more than meets the eye.
The six officers whose "Academics" are being questioned could have as well been fronted by Governor Barasa for employment as they played different roles in his campaigns.
It appears the board, having noticed at employment that the six and 12 others did not have the papers, decided to employ them as a future burgaining chip against the Governor.
The board abdicated their duty to advice Governor Fernandes Barasa and his deputy Ayub Savula that those they had fronted lacked the requisite papers for respective office.
Governor Fernandes Barasa and his Deputy must take blame for taking a casual approach and trusting the process when they took office, little did they know that CSPBN was in bed with other forces that were hell bent on spoiling the future.
The six are not the only officers whose academic qualifications are in question it appears for the period the Board has served the county there are individuals who have earned false monies for long some even retired.
If Governor Barasa and his deputy, are sure they did not pressurize the board to employ the six masketeers and many more, must now invite the relevant authorities the EACC to investigate the board and the six to be charged in courts.
There comes a time when we have to let go some friends who seek to ride on our well being for self gain. That said, the Service Board has shot itself in the foot. Ralph Wangatia is on a mission to inflict pain and retreat.
