PLAN LAUNCH : GOVERNOR BARASA'S 5YEARS BUMPY RIDE BEGINS.
PUNCTUATED By cat fights, musical chairs and horse trading, as the Administration picked up speed, coupled with succession talk and alignments. Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa today, launched the Kakamega County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP) 2023-27 at Bukhungu stadium, Kakamega.
The CIDP is a road map and pace setter of development projects in the County, well knitted with the Governor's aspirations as highlighted in his manifesto for a prosperous and vibrant County.
Governor Barasa directed the County administration to make use of the CIDP 2023-27 to generate required departmental Annual Development Plans, to serve as tool to enhance service delivery, noting that that will be a score card for the Governor's development record.
Lauding the Governor's efforts in spearheading development of the 3rd generation CIDP 2023-27, Deputy Governor H.E Hon Ayub Savula challenged the staff to oversee and fastrack implementation of the document within the required timeframe to ensure residents benefit from the fruits of devolution. Kakamega is the first County to develop and launch the document in the entire country.
Council of Governors CEO Ms Mary Mwiti, Kisumu County Deputy Governor H.E Dr. Matthews Owili, Economic Secretary at the State Department for Economic Planning Ms. Catherine Muoki, Members of County Assembly led by Speaker RT Hon. James Namatsi, CECMs and others leaders were also present.
