KAKAMEGA First Lady Professor Janet Kasily yesterday pleaded with widows, orphans and people with disability to hold hands and help Guv Barasa get 10 years in office.
Speaking at Butere Sub County hall where she was hosted by Administrators Fredrick Osundwa and Grace Omulayi of Marama South, Prof Kasily said she was sure that Guv Barasa will triumph against his detractors.
"There are so many people out here who have been given money to discredit this Administration, I want to plead with you to please eat their money, take their goodies but comeback home to Barasa at the right time " She said amid wild cheers.
Speaking at Butere Sub County hall while meeting widows and orphans, Prof Kasily emphasized on the need for caution in life especially school going children.
She said unwanted pregnancies, sexual related diseases like HIV and Fistula had contributed to arise in poverty levels in the society.
"Cases where small girls get pregnanted by equally small boys who are not economically stable only contribute to poverty figures as documented" she said.
While distributing gift hampers containing flour, cooking fat, sugar, salt and milk to widows and orphans, Prof Kasily said Governor Fernandes Barasa's government was determined not to segregate against the less fortunate.
"You have seen how passionate the governor is about People with disability and he has put several of them in leadership positions, that should tell you that you occupy a special place in his heart" She said.
"There are many money hawkers out there who are paid to discredit Governor Barasa, eat their money and goodies but come home to Barasa in 2027"
A cheerful Kasily joined widows in song and dance in praise of the works of Barasa in his first year in office as those present showered the Governor with accolades saying by accepting to complete and equip Butere Level4 hospital, he was good hearted.
The first lady was accompanied by Mr. Emmanuel Makokha the youth advisor to the governor, Joel Eshikumo the county Youths Service and Women women empowerment program coordinator for Butere and several MCAs.
