BUTERE MCAS AND GOVERNOR: HOW CS OMUHAKA BROKERED PEACE.

KAKAMEGA County Secretary Lawrence Omuhaka's shuttle deplomercy pulled MCAs on the table with Governor Fernandes Barasa.

Informed sources have told eshikumo2030.blogspot.com that the CS had called the MCAs on Wednesday night and proposed the meeting.

This was after they said they had been left out in the ongoing roads mentainance program by the County Government's roads department.

The MCAs who have for long not seen eye to eye with the Governor eventually and hurriedly decided to take this chance fir the office meeting.

My Omuhaka had earlier on expressed worry with the Governor over attendance by Marama South MCA Opuka who is out of the country on personal visit.
YOU HAVE MY WORD: WE collaborate, we both win, we fight mwanachi looses. Take your side this early.

Quickly the four MCAs including the MARJORITY leader Philip Maina who has been the only one working with the Governor for long and seen as loyal, agreed to the meeting.

Sources intimated that the three MCAs Geoffrey Ondiro, Agrey Omukunda and Charles Nandwa felp that the Marjority leader had snapped up a number of benefits including many roads to be maintained as they sat away.

The meeting which took almost 30 minutes according to insiders say them plead with their host to take them in the fold and work with them going forward.

Governor Barasa who had earlier on been agitated at an early morning cabinet meeting seemed calm as he explained to the four MCAs present the need of cooperation.

The MCAs, crestfallen sat attentively as Governor Barasa explained that it was needless to talk at each other because that hurts development to the voter.

Occasionally he could refer to the CS who was present telling his guests that Omuhaka had shown loyalty hard work and sincerity in his work.

Our source said each MCA presented a list of priority Roads he would wish done under the current program and the governor tasked Omuhaka to condider as a matter of urgency.

The Governor further tasked the CS to physically get on the ground when the works were being done to avoid shoddy works oftenly experienced at the past.

This meeting, according to observers could serve as a break thru for closed ranks between the Butere MCAs and Governor Barasa.
