PROFESSOR PHILIP KUTIMA'S CURRICULUM VITAE ON THE ROAD TO 2022 KAKAMEGA GUBERNATORIAL Election. 

PROF PHILIP KUTIMA is the son of father Philip Lutatwa, grandson of Kutima, great grandson of great great Chivile, great great great grandson of Chilimbote, great great great great son of Ashiruma, se Chimeka of Batali clan and mother Liaka daughter of Weyusia se Masimba of Bashu Bangotse clan.

He is a holder of a PhD in Microbiology from North Carolina State University of America with a speciality in the Biotechnology and Physiology of Lactic Acid Bacteria.

He has taught at Egerton University and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology for over 20 years.

At the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology he served in several capacities as Departmental Chairman, Dean of Faculty and Director of Post Graduate Studies. He Supervised five PhD students and six candidates for Master of Science.

From August 2013 - 2017 he became the Deputy Governor of the County Government of Kakamega and the in charge of Planning and Investment programs of the County. Thereafter 2017 reelection of his ticket with Governor Oparanya he Ministry of Agriculture was added to his of Deputy Governor where he is overseeing the establishment of Kakamega County Dairy Processing Plant at Tumbeni of Malava.

He also serves as the Orange Democratic Movement Party Chairman for Kakamega County.

He is a visionary and committed technocrat of the County Government of Kakamega who believes in accountability, transparency and order in the delivery of services to the people.

He is the rock on which Governor Oparanya's transformation team which is presiding over tremendous development for Kakamega is built.

He is the heir apparent to Governor Oparanya in 2022.

RETIRING Principal of little-known Sinaga Girls Secondary school in Siaya County Madam Pauline Kowidi, has hatched a plot meant to fleece parents. GUARDS INJURED AS ELSIE RUNS OUT OF CASH AT FUNERAL.

A   FUNERAL  in Butere has left three body guards of Kakamega Women Representative Elsie Muhanda hospitalised after youths demanded for money at the occasion. Drama ensued when Muhanda, currently eyeing to be Governor promised money to mourners at a funeral in Mulambo area of Butere Sub County. In her short speech to mourners, Hon Muhanda had assured mourners that she had money and she could use the same in her Guberbatorial bid and that they should not worry. After her speech she told mourners to line up for a token in which she started dishing out Ksh 50 per person present.  Excited women and youths who were at the occasion started chanting songs in her praise as Woman Representative as they gyrated to  isukuti .  SAFETY : Honourable Elsie Muhanda being whisked to safety in Butere when she ran out of cash at a funeral.  Soon after her speech, hell broke loose the local MP Tindi Mwale who had taken off earlier was not present to defend The Woman representative

MUMIAS LEVEL 4 HOSPITAL: SABOTAGE OR INCOMPETENCE?

LAST week we got an e-mail from a whistle blower at Mumias Level4 hospital narrating on goings there. From the mail, it appears there is a deliberate effort aither thru ommission or commission by those charged with daily running the institution to bring it down.  Those entrusted by the County Government see that the institution lives to its name of LEVEL FOUR appear to be determined to pull it apart. Locals have failed to get services from the institution dispite the county investing in its well being in terms of drugs and Budget. As a responsible media, we set out to get a comment from those mentioned in the ongoing at the institution.
