WE ARE READY ASPIRANTS TELL GOVERNOR.
By Titus Ouma Opondo.

Governor Wycliffe Oparanya's insinuation that he was contemplating to contest as Butere MP in 2022 continues to draw reactions from  all  corners.

Today, only three courageous aspirants for the seat have insisted to go against Hon Oparanya if he insisted on the line of thought.

The latest to enter the fray after local MP Tindi Mwale sensed defeat and now seeks to deputise Lugari MP Ayub Savula in his gubernatorial bid, is Nairobi Entreprenure Mr. Valentine Opembe Malika.

Mr. Malika who has engaged in bore hole sinking and Spring protection across Butere has said he was in the Parliamentary race to win.

"I have a lot of respect for Hon. Oparanya but I am amazed how selfish he can want to keep occupying the political scene without wanting other people to grow" he said.

Mr. Malika said Oparanya's insinuation that he wanted to use the Parliamentary seat as a spring board to earn the seat of Prime Minister of Deputy was premised of a false promise.

"Hon Oparanya is living and building his future political dream on false hope, politics is full of lies and we have seen MOU's broken". He said.

Mr. Opembe laughed off the local. MP Tindi Mwale's backing of Ayub Savula for Kakamega County Governor terming the duo as "day dreamers"

"Tindi Mwale realised that apart from a few direct beneficiaries of the illegal contract award and allocation, the ground was hostile to him   seeking another go at parliament, he wants to save his face" Said Mr. Opembe.

The entrepreneur whose team has been traversing Butere giving hand sanitizers and masks to vulnerable groups during the Covid-19 pandemic period insisted he will be on the ballot against Hon Oparanya or anybody who will seek to be Butere MP.

Last Week, former MP Andrew Anyanga Toboso was the first one to laugh off MP Tindi Mwale's "surrender" after an elders meeting where Oparanya was seeking endorsement.

Another leader who voiced his concern on the issue is Nairobi based Gynecologist DR. Ashiembi and called on the Governor to retire honourable as he stood to be humiliated at the polls.
According to the Doctor, all those the governor has stepped on their toes politically stand to gang up against Oparanya in 2022.

So far, Laurence Omwaka, Habil Nanjendo and Marama South MCA Willis Opuka who had announced their intention to replace Tindi Mwale have developed cold feet with Nanjendo turning into a complete praise singer for the governor.

Public Opinion is against the governor contesting as Butere MP with most of the people saying he has wasted his years as Governor by not building Butere to standards.
