BUTERE CHURCH LEADERS NOW BAN OFFERTORY IN ENVELOPES.

An incident at a funeral service in Butere last week has seen church leaders restrict politician's contributions to cash.

The incident at Marama South in Butere, saw a local chief while preciding, received an envelope of contribution from am emmisery sent by an MCA Aspirant. 

Mr. Castro Chite okoti aka Fidel Castro who recides in Nairobi had sent the envelop allegedly containing Ksh 500 to one of his handlers identified as Geoffrey Oniango aka Jeff who handed it to the chief and took off. 

On opening the envelope, the chief Mr Caleb Neondo announced that it was empty to the amazement of the congregation and church leaders.

The incident shocked mourners at the Masaba village who condemned the incudent and wondered who Mr. Castro had decided to dupe them. 

Immediatly the chief announced as he displayed the empty brown envelope, the choir broke into a song to calm the mourners. 

At that time chants of msaliti rent the air as the over 1,000 mourners present thru their representative a youth leader Samson Andanje said that was "pure conman ship" from politicians. 

"This is very bad to take advantage of funerals to cheat mourners and family members, this must stop" Said Andanje. 

Later a church official while preciding over the burial termed the empty Envelope debacle as ungodly and told voters in Marama South to be weary of such politicians. 

"It's funny that people calling themselves as Politicians and aspirants have resorted to trickery to woo voters using empty promises even in funerals and even fund raising, yiu must be cautious" He said. 

The aspirants team however dismissed the claims as false but refused to prove otherwise. 

At a press meeting in Butere, Spiritual church leaders immediatly decided to ban offerings in envelops at funerals and or harambees saying this was the new trick being used. 

Marama South ward has attracted several aspirants who are determined to uproot the current MCA Willis Opuka.

GUARDS INJURED AS ELSIE RUNS OUT OF CASH AT FUNERAL.

A   FUNERAL  in Butere has left three body guards of Kakamega Women Representative Elsie Muhanda hospitalised after youths demanded for money at the occasion. Drama ensued when Muhanda, currently eyeing to be Governor promised money to mourners at a funeral in Mulambo area of Butere Sub County. In her short speech to mourners, Hon Muhanda had assured mourners that she had money and she could use the same in her Guberbatorial bid and that they should not worry. After her speech she told mourners to line up for a token in which she started dishing out Ksh 50 per person present.  Excited women and youths who were at the occasion started chanting songs in her praise as Woman Representative as they gyrated to  isukuti .  SAFETY : Honourable Elsie Muhanda being whisked to safety in Butere when she ran out of cash at a funeral.  Soon after her speech, hell broke loose the local MP Tindi Mwale who had taken off earlier was not present to defend The Woman representative

MUMIAS LEVEL 4 HOSPITAL: SABOTAGE OR INCOMPETENCE?

LAST week we got an e-mail from a whistle blower at Mumias Level4 hospital narrating on goings there. From the mail, it appears there is a deliberate effort aither thru ommission or commission by those charged with daily running the institution to bring it down.  Those entrusted by the County Government see that the institution lives to its name of LEVEL FOUR appear to be determined to pull it apart. Locals have failed to get services from the institution dispite the county investing in its well being in terms of drugs and Budget. As a responsible media, we set out to get a comment from those mentioned in the ongoing at the institution.
