OVERSIGHT
In line with the Auditor General's audit report, Dr. Brian Lishenga pledges to publicly publish a quarterly report on the _the performance of the county government._ This report will be a free and fair publication, presented in an easy to read format. It will also contain scores of the county on implementation of its distinct programs.

Senator Dr. Brian Lishenga's  office will be competent, where meritocracy and regional balance will be key concerns to the delivery of unbiased services to the people of Kakamega.



HEALTHCARE
As a medical doctor of over 15 years standing,  having served as Dean Faculty of Medicine, Egerton University and the founder Chairman of the Rural Private Hospitals Association of Kenya, I have a solid track record on health matters in the country. I have the education and the experience both public and private sector to help the Governor set proper priorities for healthcare in Kakamega. 

PEOPLE CENTERED PROSPERITY 
I will work with donors, national and county governments to priorities the creation of new industries and revive those which have closed. This new priorities I will check the county government to make sure the CIDP and budgets capture then properly.


EDUCATION
Especially on vocational training, I will steadfastly advocate for restructuring of our 63 county colleges to be restructured to make them more efficient and focused to equip and train our youth for national and international Labor market. We will place a priority on ECD schools teachers and learning environment.

RETIRING Principal of little-known Sinaga Girls Secondary school in Siaya County Madam Pauline Kowidi, has hatched a plot meant to fleece parents. GUARDS INJURED AS ELSIE RUNS OUT OF CASH AT FUNERAL.

A   FUNERAL  in Butere has left three body guards of Kakamega Women Representative Elsie Muhanda hospitalised after youths demanded for money at the occasion. Drama ensued when Muhanda, currently eyeing to be Governor promised money to mourners at a funeral in Mulambo area of Butere Sub County. In her short speech to mourners, Hon Muhanda had assured mourners that she had money and she could use the same in her Guberbatorial bid and that they should not worry. After her speech she told mourners to line up for a token in which she started dishing out Ksh 50 per person present.  Excited women and youths who were at the occasion started chanting songs in her praise as Woman Representative as they gyrated to  isukuti .  SAFETY : Honourable Elsie Muhanda being whisked to safety in Butere when she ran out of cash at a funeral.  Soon after her speech, hell broke loose the local MP Tindi Mwale who had taken off earlier was not present to defend The Woman representative

MUMIAS LEVEL 4 HOSPITAL: SABOTAGE OR INCOMPETENCE?

LAST week we got an e-mail from a whistle blower at Mumias Level4 hospital narrating on goings there. From the mail, it appears there is a deliberate effort aither thru ommission or commission by those charged with daily running the institution to bring it down.  Those entrusted by the County Government see that the institution lives to its name of LEVEL FOUR appear to be determined to pull it apart. Locals have failed to get services from the institution dispite the county investing in its well being in terms of drugs and Budget. As a responsible media, we set out to get a comment from those mentioned in the ongoing at the institution.
