GUV BARASA TO BUTERE DELEGATION: FOCUS ON ISSUES NOT USELESS FIGHTS.
KAKAMEGA County Governor Fernandes Barasa on Friday met a delegation from Butere ahead of the bestoring of the Municipal status next Monday.
Speaking after hearing views and opinions from those present, the Governor, according to an insider said he was so far happy that the expected resistance on him in Butere had not been witnesed.
"Iam happy, all the time I have come to Butere you people have welcomed me warmly a sign that you have fully embraced this administration" He said.
According to our sources, the Governor promised to include more people from the area in his government and urged local leaders to stop what he termed as useless fights.
"Mine is an Equal employer government, I have deliberately included my pre-election critics because we nerd to build numbers without branding people or judging what they did or did not do to us in campaigns" He said.
LIGHT MOMENT: Governor Fernandes Barasa and County Secretary Laurence Omuhaka appear tickled as they broke into laughter at the meeting.
The Governor underscored the need for cohesion amongst sons and daughters from the area in order to gain macimumly from his government.
"When your brother gets a job don't fight them be happy for them and own the job you never know when the same will help you so small fights should not divide you" Said the County boss.
Governor Barasa said time for politicking was over and that another election is about three years away and wasting time talking about it will not help.
Our source said Governor Barasa defended every appointment and employment he has made from the area including and not limited to the County Secretary Laurence Omuhaka who was present and Health CO Dr David Alila.
He said by elevating Butere to municipal status he was unlocking the potential in Butere among others employment opportunities, social amenities and many other hidden benefits.
