TWENTY YEARS OF EMPTY PROMISES, GUV BARASA DELIVERS TO BUTERE.

THE Much awaited municipal council of Butere that has long been used as a campaign tool was easily delivered by Kakamega Governor FCPA Fernandes Barasa.

In an ecstatic event held at Butere's New Municipal offices, The county boss emphaticaly confered the small town Shikuku town into a Municipality.

Giving it power to manage its own RESOURCES, Lead its people and eat it's food. Governor Barasa won the hearts of locals when he pronounced himself in this historic occasion. 

ALL MCAS from Butere Constituency were present at the conferment ceremony. From. Left Marama Central'Philip Maina, Marenyo Shianda's Geoffrey Ondiro, Marama South's Opuka mayienga, Marama North' Nandwa and Marama West's Saitama. 

"By the powers conferred to me by the Urban areas and cities act, I want to declare Butere as a Municipality" He said amidst wild cheers from the charged crowd of locals.

This historic event is down the history as one of its own, a function that brought together locals who came to witness and MCAs who were not sure if it will happen.
